How can you say we were not minding our own business? Hell until 9/11 the current administration did not even have a foreign policy (and judging by the current work they are doing this might not have been a bad thing)....;-}
I am more then willing to give peace a chance, and as soon as you talk the middle eastern counties (among others) supporting terrorists groups and religious nuts in to giving it a chance too I will join you on stopping the arms race. Seems how I do not think you have much of a chance in succeeding at that I am going to go ahead and support my military so they can protect my civilian ass.
I say thank you to those men and women, I do not yell at them to stop protecting me!

I don't agree that Descartes was correct, but you are wrong. He said at or less then [read =] it's own reality. The kids you have would not have a greater sense of reality then you, so you his argument holds true.
Agreed, if people that cared about the 'original' definition of "second superpower" cared so much this same sort of phenomena would have taken place. It would have show up on a bunch of websites, and its PageRank would have gone up.
It is just like you said, welcome to proof that Google works... should we be mad a Google for that?
See the world is round and Australia is at the bottom of it. So by putting it in Australia it can just kinda dangle off of earth into space (being that Australia is down under and all).
I hope the clears it all up (or down as the case may be) for you.
4.... Sure it is pirating, however, you are not supporting MS and Microsoft is loosing money since they are trying to make up the cost of the Xbox in software sales.
Yes but you are also not supporting the game vendors. If the programs can not make money making fun games then they will have to find other lines of work.
So do you think that we could save the patent system by maybe having things review by a committee made up of people in the related field? I am just curious as to how people think we could rework a broke (In my opinion system) to make it respectable again.
I agree with you at home no one should need to print to your printers from the outside world. In a corporate environment though there are many real world times when printing to different locations may be needed...
I thought that seemed way to low, that is my punishment for reading slashdot so damn early in the morning. Either way though I would still like to see what this looks like that is still a lot of complaints all things considered.
BTW what are you doing clicking on the links this is slashdot man you don't read articles or links you just post post post away...
Does anyone happen to have screen shots of the Japanese version that we could look at? I would like to see first hand how bad this tint is to get that many complaints because in the year 2000 Japan only had ~126,926 people.

I learned most of what I know from a web site

I learned most of my karate skills from karate Kid.
I learned most of my doctoring skills from watching ER.
