I propose calling it a "Crapio CD".

Think about that for a second. Who do people normally go to when something they stick in thier CD-Rom drive crashes thier PC? Could it be someone like me or you? Probably. Get that to be a standard name for calling these discs, and they will go away.

1.) A friend of mine was staying in Miami with his dad over the summer in our junior year. He had a nice green 92 Mustang convertable he got when he started driving. He was in a parking lot one night when a guy with a knife tried to car-jack him. If my friend didn't have his 9mm handy (luckily he'd just turned 18 & got this pistol) when that guy walked up to him he could have lost his car, or gotten hurt. Instead he just has a funny story about the guy almost pissing himself trying to get away from him.

2.) A similar thing hapened to my step-father but instead of just approaching him, a guy jumped into his Blazer's window late at night coming back from the Jacksonville Landing. My step-dad didn't get a chance to threaten his assailant, but he was able to pistol-whip the guy long enough to keep him from using the knife he had, and to push him back out of his window (at about 35mph).

3.) A good friend of mine had to pull a pistol on his (now ex) step-father to keep him from continuing to beat his mother.

Call the cops after she's been beaten or stop it from taking place to begin with? What would you do?

That's nice. My Ex was so overprotected by her parents that she still doesn't know when people are (obviously) taking advantage of her, and she had (she's gotten better) barley any social or communication skills. It took years to repair the damage done by her parents. This device is something her parents would have gladly used up until the day she moved out.

Get a Diamond Mako or a Psion Revo (Same thing). It has 8mb ROM & 16mb of RAM, and the OS will stay updated because it's used in many cellphones (Epoc OS). I got mine for $99 and it's great. I've got a Quicken compatible finance program on it, Nethack, an MP3 player (low bitrate, it's only a 33mhz ARM), all of the normal PDA type software, and I've had it booting DOS 6 with an emulator. The only problem is I don't know where you could get one as Psion stopped making them, and SonicBlue bought out Diamond and stopped selling them. Try TigerDirect that's where I got mine, they might have back stock still.

I do still drool over my friends IPaq though. :(
