IBM actually did some research into using what amounted to molecular dominos for computing. It worked pretty fast, but they literally had to set it up on molecule at a time, and you thought dominos were a pain. They too predict that it might replace transistors. Read more about it here.
No no no. iPod owners, being the typical artsy types, reject the cold crispness of digital formats such at CDs and protected AAC. Rather, they prefer the warmth of analog formats such as cassette tapes, LPs and, of course 8-tracks. The real trick, though, is to find an 8-track to iPod ripper.
They are using a photo of a traffic cop dancing in the street to illustrate their point. I could have sworn I've seen that cop on TV. He does these crazy moves and motions as he directs traffic. Pretty entertaining to see and a lot better then a cop with a chip on his shoulder. I have doubts that he is really all that immature. Just a guy having fun at his job.
Sure it may apply to a small percentage of the population, but that small percentage would probably be willing to spend big bucks for something like this. Of course that doesn't take into account those without big bank accounts that could make good use of them, like people who are dragged into the lime light by some high-profile court case.

Thank you for contacting Customer Support.
Apple recently released an update to Java, Version J2SE 5.0. There is a bug in this release that has caused forwarding to stop working properly for both the browsers Safari and Opera on Mac OS X. You will need to report this bug to Apple Computers using the Report Bugs feature from within the Safari menu. This situation was caused by changes in Java and not GoDaddy. Because of that a resolution is completely out of our hands. I apologize for any inconvenience that this may cause.
Please let us know if we can help you in any other way."
They claim it's the Java update, which is what I thought it might be in my initial post. Frustrating is just the beginning here because I quite sure Apple will pass the buck as well, and why wouldn't they.
Are you sure it was a matter of an employee not caring? Or a store policy? If such a scan error occured at the grocery store I worked at, we would have given it to the custumer especially if the whole thing had been rung up and paid for. It's just another way to keep custumers happy. Sure the managers would have been notified about the error and we probably would manually correct the error untill it had been corrected in the product database.
Is it just me, or does the 32 bit shot have image compression artifacts? For example, just outside the edge of the guy's head. I don't notice any on the 64 bit shot. Also the 32bit image is 18.7KB in size and the 64bit image is 45.6KB in size, hmmmmmm.

"But since then, we've been left with a very big question: and that was, what are we going to do when we decide to make Link a teenager again -- a 16-year-old Link. So after Wind Waker we tried several different models and made varied versions of them. Ultimately we decided that in showing a teenage Link really the best style of expressing him would be something that's closer to our graphical style in Ocarina of Time. So Mr. Aonuma actually wasn't lying at the Game Developer's Conference when he said we were working on Wind Waker 2. He just didn't tell the whole story. And fortunately because he didn't tell the whole story, we were able to surprise you all here with a big announcement about the series."
Yes yes! How about building real robots rather than glorified remote control cars? According to Merriam-Webster Online (sorry, I don't have a link to the entry) a robot is capable of being controlled automatically. All I've ever seen on these shows are machines being controlled remotely by a human. Where are the machines that think for themselves with some sort of AI? Those are the sort of robot battles I would be interested in watching.
A bit lightly toasted. The page has a link to a YouTube video on it as well.
How much of that is because it is an unlocked iPhone rather than it has his autograph?
After all, aren't they the ones that filmed a moon landing in some studio?
:-P
Sorry to bring out all the conspiracy nuts, couldn't resist.

Doh, my bad.
-Perhaps someday MS will be forced to play catch-up with us for a change.
You mean like how they have been playing catch-up with Firefox?
Hmm, imagine that, a druish satellite.
I wonder if they would have adapted their balance while in the centrifuge. Only to have it thrown off when placed on stationary land.
Scientist, "Um, Frank? Are they all supposed to be walking to the left all the time with thier heads upside down?"
Hate to see such a chicken lay an egg......

for a streaming server, you may want to consider a streaming server like VideoLAN's VLS. :-)
I am reminded of this incident. With 5000 recordings I hope they didn't break any. (sorry about the WMV)
Joining dupes and software update announcements is "new tech startup gets funding." Plans for "tech start up goes under" are in the works.

I suppose we won't see Tony being the mascot, will we?
