    After the raids DC++ use and file sharing droed and alot of ftp sites were closed down by their owners fearing further raids.
    So file sharing accounted for 40% of the internet traffic.

    Why not? Sounds pretty easy to detect this.

    This also sounds like it could be detected by a black box.

    I just noticed on that picture that the electric cord goes into the back of the screen through a hole in the stand. This is guaranteed by Murphy to be eventually pulled out when you tilt the screen backwards.

    DC++ is a pretty good Windows Direct Connect client. I'm pretty sure there is some good Linux client available. Finding hubs will be slightly harder after this incident.

    NT stands for New Technology. Witch makes the phrase "NT Technology" on the 2000 startup screen very wierd. I assume it stands for "New Technology Tecnology".

    You are just a Care Pirate, you want to be able to kill people in MMORPGs and you care about them caring.

    Up untill that credit card part its actually a pretty good idea. The credit card part will be impossible to sell to investors so such a game would never be made anyway.

    I think a MMORPG with permanent death. After witch you can create a new n00b character is a pretty good idea.

    About 20 years ago my fathers company got a bunch of Nigerian scam mail (snail mail, not email). They were all actually posted in Nigeria. The name comes from the fact that this has been going on in Nigeria since way before email was popular.

    It's funny looking through these letters today, because they look almost exactly like the modern email version except they are usually typed and signed in an unreadable manner at the bottom.

    Some times when I have been fixing some old bug in a large application my team is working on and run into some impossible to understand code. Then look through the CVS history thinking "Who the F*%$ wrote this crap!" only to find my own name listed as the author.
