For example, it's intended to eliminate page refreshes. Users will be able to continue to browse a site even while the Web page processes credit card information and other data
Which means you'll have to wait longer for the page to load in the first place - even if you won't submit a form, beause the info you'll be viewing while you credit card info is being processed must be preloaded. I know - some of you have DSL and don't care about that, but I'm on a 56k dial-up. And by me experience, noone can remember the word "optimisation" when it comes to flash.
Never (and I do mean never) steal graphics from another site. I used to work with a "designer" that did this kind of things and it caused us some problems. It's OK if you see a good design and create something similar. but as soon you are using someone elses pixels you don't deserve to be called a web designer.
If you use flash don't use it to display important data. Flash should be used in such way, that you can't really tell if it's flash. Use it for eye candy - but not too much.
Why is it such a big news that Adobe finally decided to write a native version of Photoshop for OSX, but noone ever mentioned that Corel's Draw and PhotoPaint have been available for OSX quite some time now. Doesn't anyone use them any more or is everyone preocupied with Gimp vs. Photoshop flamewar?
One thing i really hate about mozila mail on windows: not being able to choose more than one file for attachment at the same time. If you want to attach multiple files to an e-mail you have to click on "attach" for every one of them. And this was the same in Netscape 4.x

Why don't they use something like this:

Robot Mine Smasher

I've alway beeno wondering why don't they just isolate the minefield and drive a huge steam-roller over it. What kind of damage could a landmine do to a huge piece of steel anyway? Just get everyone far enough away.
What's next? Gutenberg's relatives filing a lawsuit against O'Reilly for printing books without paying royalties for using his invention?
Patents are evil (well, a lot of them).
What about Bullfrog's Dungeon Keeper? Wasn't this one of the best Real-Time Strategy games? Mine for gold, attract creatures, show your opponents the meaning of "hell"!!
Will it be possible to decompile CLR/MSIL like it is possible to decompile JAVA applets? Applets you find online don't really contain any top-secret code, but being able to decompile something like a complete commercial applicatin is something different...
Add a battery, DVD drive, keyboard. Is it still a lot smaller than a notebook? It seems to me like someone just took an old notebook apart... Not all that revolutionary when you look at it form this perspective, is it?
I guess it's time for me to go buy that Radeon card I've been planning to get for quite some time now. And I mean _the original_ Radeon, not (7|8)500. Hey, I hardly ever play any games and I'm still using ATI's VideoXpression with 2MB ob memory from 1997!
Why has there never been a story on slashdot about me taking something apart? After all, I do it all the time. It's just that some things kind of stop working afterwards... anyone got a spare laptop?:)
It's funny readin all your complaints about how expensice internet access is. Where I live (Slovenia) I have to pay just as much (~$80) for 150 hours of being online - and I'm foreced to use this lame 56k dial-up connection! No, I can't get DSL, since I do not live in a "profitable area".
Where can you get any new skins for mozilla? If I use [View->Apply Theme->Get New Themes] I only get 2 or 3 themes listed. Is that all that is available? Should we all start making some great mozilla skins?:)
And how are the projects for making skin creation a bit easier coming along?
DVD-R media costs less than DVD-RW, has an archival life of up to 100 years
But how will you read the data from it in 100 years? We don't even know if we will be able to purchase compatible readers in 2-3 years.
And pray for mercy on his soul
:)
like... why? is linus keeping a list of bad boys & girls?
This sure makes me glad that MS products never "phone home". E.T.^H^H^H^H N.N. phone home.

And I thought having minesweeper on my Siemens S35i was bad enough. At the beginning it diplays this message: With greetings from Microsoft!

What? No nominations for Mulholland Drive? That hot lesbian sex surely must deserve an oscar! :)
FotR? Ford of the Rings? :) (yes, I know what it really means).
At first I got a bit confused, since "Fotr" is how most ravers refer to one of the best DJs. Well, you should know which one!

It's 2:30 am and I'm thinking how exciting quantum computing is. :(
Awwww... I need a life...
At least I might or might not have a life.

Kurt Sibold also states that the only thing achieved through the campaign is a public slander of Microsoft.

Damn! That guy really is smatrt... wow... MS folks never cease to amase me

chip will be 464 square millimeters which would make it one of the largest ever produced
464 sq mm? That's too small... chips have to be big and crunchy! mmmmmmm... crunch... crunch... (pieces falling into the keyboard)

why haven't AMD gone with the MHz doesn't equal performance as they have done with the new XP/MP chips
Maybe because it makes Athlons look better?
