The whole who hack sequence actually went for 2:20, but with editing you only got to see about 2 seconds. It actually included keystroke tracking, halts for enter keys and i asked carrie-anne myself to hit the space bar as much as possible.
Yes, its not 100% realistic, but wtf do u expect! you were lucky that u got to see nmap at all, it was just the luck of the editing. The fact is i was the IT guy in sydney and what i told the screen graphics guys to write was not what they ended up doing, so the actually 2:20 hack doesnt even make sense when u see it from start to finish..
It was originally written to exploit an ssh1 bug which was being publicised at the time of writing the sequence. The fact is you write this shite with the best reference you can to the real world.
If any one has any better suggestions for a hack that can be shown in 2 screen shots send them through and i'll try and use it if a hack seq comes up in any future films i do..
