Uh, yeah, but the MPAA sucks and is evil and stuff, too, right? I mean, what about that/. article about how the film studios tried to shaft Stan Lee for the Spider-Man movie?
Wait, let me get this straight, it's a good thing to have PDF go away so it can be supplanted by a format that has all the same drawbacks, but also won't work as easily with non-MS operating systems? Oh baby, sign me up!
I think his point was that all those reported bugs aren't actually bugs. Some are feature requests, some are duplicates, some aren't bugs in Mozilla, some can't be replicated, and so on. Because these sorts of things are allowed, any large project using bugzilla will quickly have their "bug count" balloon up.
Report gaim bugs to the gaim bug tracking at sourceforge. Or, talk to the people in #gaim on OPN. Either way, your bug will get known, and, in the latter case, you might get an answer right away.
Since this is easily possible by just turning off (or on) certain options in the kernel configuration file, perhaps a better idea is to make some sort of "sock configurations." So you could do make dep-desktop, and it would use a different configuration file designed specifically for desktops. The same could be done for servers, or whatever else the kernel would be used for.
It certainly seems a bit more sane than actually forking the kernel.
I'm sure Hemos hates everyone and wants them to die. But the truth is, nobody profits from ignorance. Unless these sites are so offensive that people refuse to use google there is no reason to remove them.
Every desktop environment comes with something just like the Windows run command, plus there are tons of other ones just floating around. Go to freshmeat and search, you'll get more than enough.

Right, well, this is for people who, quote, "Hate window managers." People who can't use grep, awk, sed, etc. wouldn't hate window managers. It's not like this article is trying to revolutionize the desktop world with its fantastic new paradigm, or something.
Er, Airmiles and Hotmail work fine for me. The IGN website has the same problem you listed. I can't verify the last one, though. Are you using an ancient version of the browser, or something? This is Mozilla 1.0.1 and half of your pages work as they are intended.
Preferences are in the middle of a massive overhaul. The current state of preferences is not the final state. If your favorite or most important pref isn't available don't panic. We're working on it. See the FAQ for more information.
Also remember this is a 0.1 release. I hope you wouldn't be using it at work.

Simple answer: no.
Hope that helps.

Oh, wait...
It's ok for you to admit it. Every President does it!
The article originally used Active Desktop rather than Active Directory. It appears to have changed, though.

Water is polar, not purely covalent.
It's already been done. Does nobody remember IBM and the Peace, Love, Linux thing?

Only if you don't know what redundant means...
Just download the RPMs from gaim.sf.net. Mandrake has a history of applying patches to gaim that mess it up.

I hope you're not suggesting that "Joe Winpack" install LFS. Do you want him to go on a murdering spree?
Use Gentoo or Debian, I guess. They take care of dependencies for you.
