...and AOL will be offering a new anti-spyware initiative to begin next year. The new initiative will allow vendors to get their software "certified" as easy to remove...
AOL, certifying software as easy to remove...heh..hehhheheheh...AHAHAHHAHEAHEHAEHAHAHA HAHAHAHA YAYAAYHEAHEAOIHEAODHFAOSDHFAOSEFAYUWFOASJFAL:SDF!
Ok, thats just too absurd, this has totally made my day, hilarious! Is it April 1st?!
I think our iPod's helped real me in a bit to the Mac style. We now have 4: 2 40 gig 3rd gen, 1 60 gig Photo, and 1 Nano 4 gig. Using the devices made me look more at Macs. I broke down and actually bought a 15" Powerbook which I now use daily in place of my aging T-22. Granted, now is probably NOT the best time to get a notebook with Apple switching to Intel and dual cores on the horizon but I was at a point where that 'ol 1 GHz P3 was feeling a tad sluggish...no, a LOT sluggish, esp with the 512 meg RAM cap.
Anyhow, I'll probably remain a PC user as well for gaming but I am keeping a close eye on Apple and will probably be a 50/50 Mac user.
So, how do we turn off these SlashAd articles and get down to the REAL stuff? Is that something only available to subscribers or do they see this crap too?
Come on, a review of YET ANOTHER CLONE SYSTEM (Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzz). Yawn, boring. Ho Hum. Is this really news that matters? Who gives a crap about some expensive custom system made by a vendor....geeze...
Hello? Editors? Are you awake or does just any old submission make it to the front page these days?
"No additional credit may be obtained from CitiFinancial without your prior approval, either by initiating a new application or by providing positive proof of identification," the nation's No. 1 financial services company said in the letter. ---
So wait a second here. What exactly is 'positive proof of identification'? From the description of the lost data it would seem that it contains just about all the proof one would need (stupidly). The reliance on an account number (SSN) as a proof of identity is quite silly and makes me sick.
I tried earlier revisions and one frustration for me was it didn't support the Canon RAW (CRW) format from my Canon 10D digital SLR. Well, surprise surprise, I tired it out and it was off indexing my desktop and low and behold I see my RAW files start popping in. WOOT! It also indexed my variou movie clips and makes it easy to have'em all handy and play from in the program. For a free piece of software for Windows platform users, I gotta say, I'm very impressed so far!! My desktop will likely never go outside of Windows, maybe to OSX, 'cause I need Photoshop, Gimp ain't gonna cut it.
Yet again I'll say it, why are they prosecuting the people "uploading" when they should be prosecuting the people DOWNloading. Do I need to lock up my DVD's and CD's because someone could potentially come by and grab one and copy it? Am I liable?
Huh? How many had HT's has nothing to do with it, it's how many in the city were there to support the failed infrastructure that counts (IE: All the critical infrastructure that was atop the towers such as cell service).
Ya, I wish they would backport the fix to allow the album names to scroll left/right when browsing to the 3rd gen! iPod photo scrolls these just fine but with my 3rd gen I can't see the full names of some long albums, some of which are 3-4 in a row, VERY annoying.:(

With a GigaBucks price...plus taxes, fees, misc charges, usage fees, misc fees, we want more money fees, tax taxes, pass-thru taxes, pass-thru fees, it cost us money to set this up fees, etc etc etc.
Yummy, another Slashvertisement... A headset, wooooooooo, how newsworthy eh?

1 petabyte is 1000 terabytes, not 1024 terabytes. Please read and understand SI units for binary prefixes.
That's a shield!

Infinium is not news for nerds and I think we can all agree that they don't matter...
Slashdot must be selling the articles to people, thats the only explaination for all the Slashvertisements 'lately'...

This is not unusual from a state that makes it a crime to take a picture from a bridge. Camera use prohibited, pffft, morons.
Here we go again, DIVX take two! I wonder if Circuit City will be selling them...

That URL works for me...
"...Go ahead, pirate that game! We'll make money in the ads 'foo!"

Why the Linux: title? Is it only released for Linux?
Wankers...

Great job Google/Picasa team!

Is there an echo in here?
And to think, as a kid I never really realized what was around me, read the following URLs for some fun stuff:

This is being built pretty much right on top of the old AeroJet ordinance site, neato..:

But what does it say when it finds Alexa?
Those cellphones don't work well in emergencies. Systems get overloaded, cables break/get washed away, towers crumble to the ground.
Just ask people from NY City how well phones worked on September 11th.

Doom 3 sucks. I'm really sorry I spent that money on that horrid game.
UT2004 (Bought at the same time) gets a lot more play.
But not much can surpass my alltime favorite, Half-Life. Got it in what, 1998, and it's still going strong! Wow! Now THAT was a bargain!
