    The problem is the gap between the UBI support level and the lowest wage for a job, not the highest. Around here we had long term support that was about 20% below the lowest wages. In practice many people turned out to prefer 365 days of paid vacation for that price.

    I'm pretty happy with my OM2n as far as reliability and performace go. But admittedly Olympus has only been around a puny 99 years with their imaging expertise.

    Studies about health risks should probably be available through the NIH. The observed health risk of formaldehyde does not seem to have changed. My interpretation of the politico piece: EPA wants stricter rules for emission anyway, the industry doesn't.

    Well, that company sounds like it tries to make a quick buck from the sensationalist headlines. You only need to have a representative if you do large scale processing of tracking data mentioned in paragraph 9.1: Like race, religion, health and other categories deemed especially sensitive, and only if you haven't got prior permission. I think the EU is overreacting to facebook in a very heavy handed way, but this legislation will hardly affect normal small businesses.

    Automatic exposure is normally calibrated for 18% gray (average outdoor scene). That means if you make a portrait of a skin tone darker or lighter than that you need to think what you measure and compensate. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/...

    And yet, this is standard practice around here. No particular problem as the no-claim premium reduction is transferable between insurers. At present for instance I'm at a small % of the nominal premium: older than 30-no accidents-zip code outside city center, it all adds up transparently. High risk individuals pay more everywhere, up to 120% for pathological cases.
