so are you saying that it's better to ignore this strain than to research it? isn't that security through obscurity? if an influenza strain similar to this eventually pops up i personally think it would be better to have at least some knowledge of the virus.. would you rather have them study it while it's killing everyone?
i think wrapping your entire car with tinfoil and chickenwire may do the trick. then again, that might possibly amplify your signal:-/
seriously, what's it show when you're not listening to a radio? or, even more interesting, what happens when i'm tuned into those sex-talk shows that come on after midnight. that has the potential to cause quite a few accidents!
largest ddos ever taking out roughly half of the root servers? i must've been browsing the web for a good 5 hours yesterday while doing some research. am i the only one that didn't notice?
it's great to see our homeland defense money going towards counterterrorism. i think i've figured out their reasoning. since this monumental discovery can rid our society of warts, whenever we see some shady guy at the airport, all we have to do is check him for warts. from here on, having warts == terrorist (or shady tourist. eitherway, go home!)
Is it because most games are male-oriented? Possibly. Couldn't it just be due to the fact that males and females like doing different things? I saw a video on this when I took some crappy Sex and Society course last year. They gave different toys to different toddlers and observed their reactions. Even from such a young age, little girls preferred to play with the dolls and little boys preferred to play with the cars.
...back when I was in high school. The only problem I ran into was this: If you donate a linux box to someone who doesn't own a computer, what are the chances that they will be able to operate it? How will they keep up on all of the patches? What will they do if they have problems operating linux? Generally they can't get just anyone to help them out because linux users are a minority (granted, this isn't so much of a problem in a university setting). Typically someone who doesn't own a computer isn't exactly computer literate. How can we expect someone who doesn't even know how to use windows correctly navigate linux? Let's face it, they aren't going to spend their time pouring over technical books. Overall though, I guess it's better to have a computer and not know how to really use it than to have nothing at all. Just my 2 cents..
First I was impressed by the fact that it could go 180mph... but carry 8 passengers as well?! That's crazy (I wonder what speed it could reach w/ 8 people?)
The point is, part of our tuition goes towards an ethernet connection. If they want to block P2P then what else do I need this kind of bandwidth for? Everything I need the internet for at school can be accomplished with dialup (research, instant messaging, email, etc). At least give me the option of declining, and not paying for, the ethernet.

are the shriner's included, or sold separately?
ahh yes... trying to get my modem to work with linux back in the day was really fun :-/
at one point it seemed like i knew more about my damn modem than the engineers who designed it.

check out the 3rd or 4th picture on this page. add a TV, ps2, and a mini-fridge and it's a quick, comfy miami to seattle trip :-)

Ah yes, my mistake. I meant to put "like", but I was too busy trying to snag those +Informatives :-) sorry
click HERE for more info from Nature on this bug. Apparently it's related to the praying mantis, which is by far the coolest bug ever :-)
when am I gonna see a shriner rolling around in one of these things? Better yet, how many circus clowns can fit in one?
would i be able to make my 8am classes finally? i could just lay there and "be" in class :-)
