I have had three logic board repairs and my most recent logic failure occurred three months after my Apple Care warranty expiration date -- they replaced the logic board and hard drive. Apple turnover rate is great. I knew dropping it off Sunday afternoon, I would have it back before the end of the week which I did.

The Japanese ship date is DEC 28th and the US ship date is between JAN and MAR? I would imagine the major features have been completed this late in the development cycle. Would it take much longer to handle the English localization? Instead of "Start your engines", GT4 could have "Someone set up us the bomb."

I guess I'd rather have a non-buggy game than a game with bugs since GT4 will consume most of my free time.

  15. Gamers enjoy talking to other gamers! on Video Games Changing the Workplace · · Score: 4, Interesting

Today, I was in a meeting and one of the project managers decided to stop by. This was a technical meeting (the PM doesn't have any techincal background) but he wanted to see if we needed anything. Towards the end of the meeting, he was talking about he was a geek and he spent most of his evenings playing World of Warcraft Beta and I told him that I belong to the Beta program as well. We talked "offline" and we are going to try and arrange to play together sometime.

This will give me some extra time to talk to him and just get to know him better. He is the client and I am his contractor. I believe this will help the project since we both will have spent time together outside cubicle land and we don't always have to talk business.

I don't think I will be buying any more ESPN games til they improve their QA process.

Your bottleneck in online gaming is going to be your network connection if you are a typical broadband user. Try running BitTorrent and play online. Your pings would be ext. high.

I think the one of the major points of a gaming PC is to be on the Internet. XBox and PS2 are delivering new games with online features. Unless you are running a 200mhz machine, I don't see the problem of having a firewall, virus scanner on your PC while online gaming.

My two favorite online games are BF: Vietnam and Americas Army. I run a virus checker, TeamSpeak and my LinkSys log program all on my "gaming pc" and I don't notice my PC slowing down at all.

It sounds like you are a bitter person who cant afford to buy a gaming PC.

Not to mention its easy to stick in my car and play where ever I can find a tv.

Why would you want to put a game console in your car?
