Doh! I just bought a MacBook this week from CompUsa. I spoke to them I can return it for a CompUsa GiftCard for my purchase price. I'll wait til next month and repurchase a 64-bit.
I have had three logic board repairs and my most recent logic failure occurred three months after my Apple Care warranty expiration date -- they replaced the logic board and hard drive. Apple turnover rate is great. I knew dropping it off Sunday afternoon, I would have it back before the end of the week which I did.

Right now Alien antennas are around 5k also with the current technology, i guess, one would have to put the antennas under the field. Are cleats made of metals still? They would cause interface to the RFID read. I have worked with a project using RFID so I do know a few things about it
i have no problem that the toyota alettza (lexus is300 in the us) had a different name. its probably easier that the pubisher only had to get one trademark license from toyota than getting another license from lexus as well.
The Japanese ship date is DEC 28th and the US ship date is between JAN and MAR? I would imagine the major features have been completed this late in the development cycle. Would it take much longer to handle the English localization? Instead of "Start your engines", GT4 could have "Someone set up us the bomb."
I guess I'd rather have a non-buggy game than a game with bugs since GT4 will consume most of my free time.
Today, I was in a meeting and one of the project managers decided to stop by. This was a technical meeting (the PM doesn't have any techincal background) but he wanted to see if we needed anything. Towards the end of the meeting, he was talking about he was a geek and he spent most of his evenings playing World of Warcraft Beta and I told him that I belong to the Beta program as well. We talked "offline" and we are going to try and arrange to play together sometime.
This will give me some extra time to talk to him and just get to know him better. He is the client and I am his contractor. I believe this will help the project since we both will have spent time together outside cubicle land and we don't always have to talk business.
I used FileVault and I was impressed that I was getting such a huge performance hit on my 600mhz ibook, however, one day I rec'd an odd error regarding FileVault. I cautiously decided to play it safe and turn off FileVault.
I bought ESPN Football for 9.95$ (on sale) because it was so cheap. However with the low-cost game comes with many issues primarily the game freezes. I have read similiar complaints on the ESPN message board.
Would I spend the extra money on Madden? Yes because the game doesnt crash.
I don't think I will be buying any more ESPN games til they improve their QA process.
Google Desktop will only index when you are not using your computer for 30secs (I read the 30 sec rule in the OReilly review). I want to see how much it indexes when I return from lunch.
I'm a loser and understand that i will not end up with anyone, but maybe someone will randomly click on my name without reading my blurb and i wil talk to them once or twice or go out with them once and they will not like me so i am resigned to being single.
Your bottleneck in online gaming is going to be your network connection if you are a typical broadband user. Try running BitTorrent and play online. Your pings would be ext. high.
I think the one of the major points of a gaming PC is to be on the Internet. XBox and PS2 are delivering new games with online features. Unless you are running a 200mhz machine, I don't see the problem of having a firewall, virus scanner on your PC while online gaming.
My two favorite online games are BF: Vietnam and Americas Army. I run a virus checker, TeamSpeak and my LinkSys log program all on my "gaming pc" and I don't notice my PC slowing down at all.
It sounds like you are a bitter person who cant afford to buy a gaming PC.
Not to mention its easy to stick in my car and play where ever I can find a tv.
Why would you want to put a game console in your car?

The first release will not have online capabilities. The second release will have online capablities.

HL2 is a world wide game so you're numbers you are viewing are incorrect.
the question is:
Of the percentage of gamers, how many have internet access?
