The packaging was better. Real effort and imagination were put into it. Does anything come with a microscopic space fleet now?

The manuals were better. I've still got glossy, 300+ page manuals on my shelf that are practically history books, that came with Secret Weapons of the Luftwaffe, Red Baron, etc.

It's tough to beat the Peril-Sensitive Sunglasses. Another favorite was the AutoDuel toolkit.

I was thinking about the packaging and documentation the other day. I bought Flight Simulator X and was excited to open it up and see what it came with. It was the first one I bothered with since I bought the original way back on the //c. The original came with Nav Maps that showed approach vectors and frequencies of all kinds of airports. It was awesome looking up the frequency to tune the VOR to continue my flight. The documentation had a 'tutorial' of sorts on how planes fly.

Flight Sim X comes with a DVD and a manual. The manual is mostly how to install it and fun things to do (take off from which airports and fly in which directions to see famous landmarks). Meh.

Thats like saying you already own Office 2x for the Mac, you deserve to get Office 2x for the PC for $39.99. Different systems, it doesn't matter if it is mostly the same. Don't buy it if you already own it, it is for the people who don't already own it.

Maybe not a troll, but you are an idiot, making assertions based on false assumptions.

These songs were left out of the game because they are from GH1, not GH2. When they ported the game to XBox 360, they used almost the same song list (a few extras, like The Trooper). Since GH2 came out on the PS2 before the XBox 360, they didn't include those songs, not wanting to cannibilize the sales of GH1.

Along comes the XBox 360 version. Now there is a digitial distribution channel in place and they can sell the songs that were never included in the original. They didn't rip them out to resell them. They are giving the XBox 360 owners a chance to play songs that they wouldn't have a chance to play if they don't own a PS2.

Take your crusade somewhere where it makes sense... like horse armor.

I think there are a lot of people who are prepared to spend more money, if they feel what they are getting is worth it. Right now, the PS3 doesn't really offer anything that makes it worht purchasing. There is one game people like, and it plays Blu-Ray disks... thats it. If there were a bunch of good games and Blu-Ray was the definitive future for HD home content, then they would be selling more. Right now, they aren't even tapping the people prepared to pay more or who want a higher-specced console.
