    Dude, the directv tivo only cost 99 dollars, and is only 5 dollars a month for the tivo service. Alot cheaper than the 250 + 10 dollars a month.

    Hell T-Mobile will sell you mobile internet for only 29.98 of course their network isn't as expansive as verizon's I guess, though if traveling abroad you can connet to GPRS for only an additional $1.5/KB haha ekkk :(

    Speedpass also uses a challenge/responce system. So snooping won't do any good.

    seems you just call them up and report it stolen.
    I'm not sure how this works, maybe its verified each time with a call like credit cards, and maybe the stores device keeps a list of unvalid speedpasses or something. Does someone know the answer to this?

    No the parent-parent poster talked about $2000 dollars worth of stuff in your pockets, as being excessive. And the parent post said that is just a laptop and an ipod. Though personally I doupt a laptop would fit into this, though as I havn't seen a picture, maybe I'm wrong.

    No your house isn't shielded. You are sheilded from loosing basic assets that allow you to continue to make a living. But while you won't lose your house, if there is any equity in your house, that equity will be pulled out to give to your creditors.

    Have you seriously tried going to bed before you get tired, and or having a set 8 hours each night. Say hmm I have to get up at 6am I will goto bed at 10 no matter how sleepy I am. Sure you won't fall asleep at first but you'll get used to it after a few days. Extra points for actually doing stuff during the day that make you tired. Anyways I love my alarm clock it sets itself automatically (from some radio signal or something not quite sure) has a good battery backup to keep your alarm settings. And you can set a different or no alarm for the weekend if you want to.

    Yea, but they idea that they can stop free trade of legal copies of their movies from one country to another is what is rediculus. Yes they have the freedom to market as they wish, but you simply can't control the aftermarket of legal copies.

    Wow thanks, somehow I managed to completly misread that. Thanks for the heads up. BTW I have heard that DirectTV won't honor lifetime subscription services unless bought before their decision not to honor.

    No that appears to be only for itanium. I believe they are releasing a different version for athon64, but then again I could be wrong.

    Or directTV tivo. 99 dollars for the tivo (with 1 year contact) and free tivo service if you have the 37.99 package or higher. (Which just became cheaper than comcast as my rates just went up almost 5 dollars in my area).

    Because if they opensourced their tools it would make it easier for someone to swap out a oracle backend with a free database backend while allowing people to continue to use the same tools.

    No, he is saying a 486 wouldn't know what to do with a Voodoo 2. But actually technically there were 486s with PCI slots I believe. And I know voodoo2 came in pci version as well as APG (which you'll never find on a 486)
