    That's what this car will get on H2 fuel.

      There is no tax on cars that avg at least 22.5 MPG
    Here are some numbers taken from the US DOT for the gas guzzler taxes

    Obviously battery powered ground based vehicles come to mind, or H2. Someone has also pointed out that Hydrogen had a greater energy density than aviation fuel you just need highly pressurized tanks - this might be dangerous.
    A easy solution would also be to use the power to help with production costs of bio ethanol - this would simultaneously reduce greehouse CO2 gases(much of the CO2 taken from the air would be returned to the ground), and produce a viable fuel for the planes.

    Just how do you know how much gas (petrol) costs in England?
    Back in June of 2004, the average USA price/gallon was $2.04, in England it was $5.44.

    I just saw a BBC article from JUNE (BEFORE the recent hikes!) and the price was 90pence/litre!
    so 90x3.76(liters/gallon)= 338 pence/gallon or 3.38 pounds. 3.38x1.84(current exchange rate)=$6.22/GALLON!!!!! OWWWWW! MIND you - that was before all the recent price increases too. My brother, who lives in London also confirms that petrol prices are generally about$2.50 above american prices.

    While many of us here are , shall we say, less than impressed, by Microsoft's product, it is hard to argue about Microsoft's business record. It is one of the most successful companies in the world. Mr. Balmer may be a hot-head, but cream does rise to the top, and this guy's business skills should not be taken lightly - he should rightfully be feared. Do NOT take this lightly, he has a proven track record and has beaten Mr. Lucovosky TWICE now.

    It might sound a trifle loud though.

    You may not know this, but almost every doctor does work for free. I get nothing from about 10-20% of my patients, and even lose money on some (medicare, etc). Any, and every academic/county/state hosp in the USA does charity work, and the state/federal governments provide medical coverage for pts with no insurance. We often have a saying "No insurance is the best insurance" - meaning, that we can just put the uninsured pt on charity care and do the operation, WITHOUT having to go thru all the red tape of HMO's.

    A bit of advice - HMO's are cheap, and you get what you pay for. If you can get a PPO do it, you will not regret it if you have a problem. EVERY pt I see with an HMO regrets not getting the PPO insurance option.

    Certain cells seem to have a fixed number of divisions, before they are turned off(telomeres on the chromosomes, seem to shorthen a bit, after every cell division). Errors in this probably lead to cancer, and it's one of the theorised ways that the body prevents cancer, by limiting the number of cel divisions. Normal cells usually stop growing, when they arein contact with other cells - something to do with cell communication/contact inhibition. Cancer cells often lack this and thus do not get the mesg to stop.

    This will be very interesting to see what happens. growing a new kidney, or hand would be great, as long as it is safe.

    I have had excellent results with seasonic power supplies. They are built like a tank and have up to 80% efficiency, which will pay for the power supply in less than a year if your computer is usually on. Seasonic is also recommende by silent computing for an inaudible 21 dB noise level - prolly one of the quietest fan cooled power supplies out there.

    Your comment seems excessively angry and insulting, especially for a third party not involved inthe discussion. And I don't think I even mentioned the idea of any conspiracies, so I'm not sure why you have become so inflammed about my post. Do you have a personal reason/experience for the hatred of the medical community - I'm just curious.
    As far as a cure for cancer putting me out of business goes, then I would be happy. I would gladly switch my talents to fixing up trauma patients, since trying to keep 12 year kids alive can be emotionally difficult.
    As far as suing widows and orphans - doctors don't sue people - at least I've never even heard of any. Just what would a doctor "sue" them for?

    For those earlier on in the first person shooters, TF was the game to play - there were no others even close to it. It had any kind of multi play scenaro you wanted, but most played it for the fearsome Capture the flag.

    It was a sure to be a winner release, but it never came out. Does anyone with ties to Valve know why they dropped the ball on this assured money-maker? Today there are several variants of tis game, so it doesn't make sense to release it. The last I had heard of it was that it sounded like a cross of Americas Army on-Line and a rel time strategy game like C&C , with a non-fighting "leader", who would be controling the team. I think they got hung up on trying to incorporate a team-speak like feature to use real time players voices for communication.

    I know many games, don't make it out of the studio, but come on, this seemed like a winner.
    Anyone with any ideas?

    I'd like to see some documentation for that statement that you seemed to pull out from under your tin-foil hat. I have never heard ANY evidence to even remotely suggest that dehydration causes cancer. Honestly, show me even one article froma reputable scientific journal, and I will deign to argue this point with you, otherwise you are wasting our time with nonsensical ideas, like pyramid power and homeopathy.

    I'm fairly certain that I'm right- I know the literature, since I am an oncology surgeon.

    I'm just really getting tired of special effects movies. I went and mistakenly saw "War of the Worlds" and it was just horrible!. Yes, I know you can make giant spaceships look real, but so what - I'm bored of that. As long as a special effect is about as good as the OLD Dr. Who, then that's all you really need, because it was the storyline, the plot and maybe the acting which made it good.

    If you spend $50 million on polishing up a piece of dog crap, you still have a piece of crap, nicely polished in the end.
    Let's hope that these guys (please, please) spent a lot of time on the script, story, etc, which will make a good movie/story. Independent films are often much better than those big over-produced films. These Hollywood monstrousities often have 10 producers, all adding their various formula of bells and whistles, that they think some standard audience will like. That's why there are so many sequels out there - it's a "safe" gamble for the studio, and usually BORING.

    These three guys are/were part of the 7 man team who created Savage (S2 games) - a must have for ANY Linuxer who plays games. I still play this game 2 years after it came out. The only other game I have ever done that with was Diablo II.

    If these guys keep with that spirit/tradition of Savage, then this game will be awesome.
    Yes, we all know by now that pretty pictures don't make a good game, but this game looks like it will have both.

    These will be the 2 key issues to get morepeople to use this and Linux. My Mom and Dad wil NOT /can not be bothered to look around the internet for various dependencies to make a program to work. Why? - cause with Windows all you need to do usually - is just click on the install button, and occasionally automagically update one's drivers.

    For people to adopt something, it must be EASIER.

    Now as far as games go - how many home computers have you seen, that didn't have a game or two installed on it? Not many probably, because the gaming market is that big.

    Anyway, I actually bought Codeweavers -it's very good. I also bought the Transgaming software, and it's pretty good too, but requires some work. I am optimistic that Codeweaver will introduce an excellent product.

    When people get old and frail, and develop weak musccles and bones - it's a reflection of te general poor medical condition. Old people get hip fractures, because they are SICK and debilitated. 50% of old people who get a hip fracture wind up dying within a year, not from the fracture, but because they are already dying. It's the same with their muscle mass. Mental and physical debilitation i.e cardiac, pulmonary, renal, all lead to this muscle wasting.

    This is like putting a patch on a completely bald tire that is about to blow - the whole thing is about to wear out. In order to be effective - you need to build up the entire tire to be effective. I just don't see this being practical, nor effective.

    I've heard of some games that show you the view of your killer in a movie - that way it can be used to determine if a hack is being used, and can be used to ban cheaters. I think AAOL(Amer Army on line) has this feature as of late.

    They can make more money here , than they do in there own country. The percent of foreign MDs passing the exam is very low though. They are often brought in to serve in underserved areas (N. Dakota, reservations, etc), but few wind up there.

    The overall percentage of foreign trained MDs in the US is only a few percent.
