You say all of this as you sit writing a comment on Slashdot. Unplug dude, there is a real world out there. It is your decision to get lost in the information.

Wow, thanks for that unique and new insight!!!

I haven't heard comments along those lines from anyone since the newer movies were released. Also, thanks for mentioning that you never saw the third movie -- that shows that you have a very solid foundation of knowledge to base these rants.

Can you explain why the original movies were better? What was missing in the newer ones? So far, I only see you complaining about the marketing. Turn off the TV and quit watching ads, then go see the movie.

Yawn. Pointless ramblings about the good old days should be reserved for old men before they die.

I agree with the comment about going with the flow of traffic, that is generally my response.

I think it is equally acceptable to simply say: "No, I actually don't know how fast I was going" I have used that as well, and as long as you are as honest and straightforward with them.

Absolutely true, I had the same experience. Although, with enough persistence I was actually able to get them to refund the renewal fee. If I remember correctly, it took on the order of 20 emails to get it done.

Good try, but I still call FUD. You are not required to use Microsoft code for any of the pieces you mention above. Yes, it is on by default. HOwever, you can happily go to most manufacturer's website and download alternate versions. Many wireless cards now make it very simple with their client utilities or drivers to turn off Windows wireless zero configuration easily. Otherwise, do it yourself by unchecking the "Let windows manage..." box, or stopping the wireless zero config service.
Mostly the same goes for scanners. I can very easily take advantage of my photocopy feature by using the supplied manufacturer utility.

Lots of text with some true facts to not mean that you are not mostly spewing uninformed rants.
