I believe you are searching for "The War at Home" which I have watched all of 10 minuted of before my head exploded by the lame comedy and shitty acting. I luckily was able to reassemble it in time for Family Guy and American Dad. Believe me when I tell you, it was a close one.

Umm, actually, yes. Given inflation and all that, I believe the median income onf "gamers" has increased from the time that the NES/SNES came out pretty gradually from then to now.

I have no references for this, it's purely IMHO. I point to proof as the gaming explosions worldwide and also the fact that consoles are "multifaceted" (DVD, and so on) and not just for those pretty little cartridges anymore.

Honestly, get real. Granted, I understand that sometimes (esp. with this administration and a bit of Clinton) that the government hasn't been the easiest to adopt new technologies. But still, you can't reasonably expect corporations to just say "damn, I see that Linux is totally free, let's change our infrastructure tonight!" These things take time to mature, and in as much as Linux has matured, Microsoft has done what it could to compete in the marketplace. This is simple capitalism at work. If you want to start fighting over that, I'm sure there are a whole bunch of people in Montana that would love to ally with you.

Interesting note in the forum thread, for every 30lbs it is costing this guy $475. Funny stuff. He does have a picture of the 200 in cash.

I don't know about you, but I don't want to have to use the Run As command every 15 minutes just to do something simple like burn a CD (need Admin privs) or run a game. This is my PC, I administrate it, so I run with Admin privledges. As such, it then becomes MY responsibility to make sure that bullshit stuff doesn't find it's way over. This is why I bother to run an AV program, have Spybot tell me whenever something is trying to write to the registry, and so on.

At work, however, is a different story. I do have domain access, but I never log in as the domain admin unless I need to do some administration. I did, however, grant myself local admin rights on my machine for the same reasons above. I don't have a problem with spyware, adware, viruses, or anything.
