    Not just the Audigy ZX, but Creative cards in general are very good at not being CPU-abusers.

    Mainboard audio is generally good for most people because they don't spend several hundred dollars on speakers that you can actually notice a difference on, so it's not just a "hardcore" thing.

    Yes, it is QUITE insane. They must be running some uber-l33t hardware for that. Especially when a new kernel gets /.'ed.

    I have a Nokia 5165 that has pretty much nothing special on it. A lot of my friends have the newer OMGL33T phones with color screens/downloadable stuff/etc, so I'm just like "oh yeah? WELL I CAN PLAY SNAKE!"

    So I tried to play the games, right? The first page says I need IE, flash player and win98, and I'm like "yeah whatever", then the page says "you do not have flash player 7". Sure I don't (I do). Then the game doesn't load. Riight.

    I spent about 5 hours figuring out that the Pokemon games are absolutely not fun at all. I don't see how they still sell in the millions (!) of carts for each new release.

    Some simple bugs haven't been fixed yet. 0.8 has a great bug (in windows in linux at least) where checking the "don't let sites that set removed cookies set future cookies" doesn't actually make it work. This works in the suite, but not in firefox.

    The rendering engine still barfs on images that have been scaled to large sizes too, making pages scroll slower than a snail.

    As usual, this product will end up with a much less impressive feature set, as most Sony products do. Don't get your hopes up too high.

    Remember the "PSX" console? Most of its cool features were dropped about a WEEK before its launch.

    Very true. A local "warehouse"-type store in my area has TVs and furniture for a lot lower than a name-brand store. Sure, it might be a factory second or something, but it's giving all the profit to the locals and they are also very nice and moral people.
