give him a break, it is kind of hard to find a working delorean these days. also most libyan terrorists wants more than a day to get plutonium nowadays.
What will this solve? The movie studios will have to write plugins to every available browser where they want to show their content. This will probably mean that the only viable platforms will be win + ios and android, Both Ios and android they are already making apps for, why can't they just make a drm-filled program for windows?
They can never control the entire chain if they don't want to dole out the money to build up an entire infrastructure, so why bother? I think we see this time and time again publishers don't want to do it themselves, they always want to make others do their dirty work.
Dude, they don't play good guys this time. They use the exact same policies they had with the ps3. The only thing making them the good guys are microsofts insane policies. Sonys policies are actually a bit worse this time around, with payed online etc.
why do you think consumers are the real customers? this was a scheme taken directly from the publishers wet dreams. ea and ubisoft have shown that this is what they want.
but hopefully ms has learned something.
add a cross on the quran and most bible thumpers wouldn't notice. if you would change muhammed to jesus it would catch most of the others (except for genuine preachers).
You also don't need to use your steering wheel, you just have to flap your arms around. And you can start it by shouting at it. Oh, and if you must drive on gravel they also sell Car 360*. It is also 20% more expensive than PlayCar4 and has less horse power.
* for a little while at least.
More like you have to drive the car one only on asphalt. And once a day you must drive at least a mile on asphalt otherwise you can't open the the backseat and the trunk. But you get tv in the car!
if i understand correctly they count tablets (i.e ipad) but only if they are big, smaller (i.e ipod touch) is not counted. tablets should probably be counted in a mobile category along with smartphones.
PC games are cheaper than console games in another important way: you don't have to buy a separate device to play them on.
To be fair a computer that runs game are more expensive than one that doesn't. Depending on the pricing of the new consoles it might still be cheaper.
The real advantage is that games tend to go down in price much faster on computers. And this is because of the lockedin nature of consoles.
Yes, they all support keyboards trough bt or USB if they have that connectivity (not all tablets have USB, not sure about bt). And let's all forget about asus transformers, which provides a nice keyboard and doubles battery time when using it.
I know that, but if you do that you basically emulate DirectX. But take as an example UT-engine, since it works on many platforms it should be able to connect to a OpenGl backend. Shouldn't it be a quite easy task to port such a game to linux? Isn't it just a management problems nowadays?
He is insensitive Claude, you insensitive clod!
He will need experience if he wants to go to one of the high-profile studios. So he should take the job, and work hard so he gets a good resume.
Only if it is a sony-made phone.
and he is still right. ;)
No, but atleast they were shorter back then.
Xkcd is for NERDS, here we are either fans of Android, Windows or Apple. Slashdot, news for fanbois, Stuff that rages.
or in the chair's flight path.
internal nets are a pain to work on. which means productivity goes down. which ofcourse the author didn't think of. he is a fear-mongerer.

no, but if you rip out the pages, it should be fine.

MS could always publish it for them. And every other game they find worthwhile. Which also means MS can take a bigger cut.

and also would take the blame if noninfringing sites are blocked. they want the cookie and eat it.
What do you mean? Wasn't the tagline "There can be only one (or more if we can make any money of it)!"
So... he doesn't use any money i guess?
