But I'd say if lots of really big things are being affected, then there could be a bigger thing out there.
It's a theory I know. I'd like to call it Cen's Big Fucking Thing theory, it's a big ball of stuff, chairs, signs, tanks, gravel and so on, literally sucking the universe dry of interesting stuff. A universal suck, maybe even a multiversal suck mechanism. Either way, I'm pretty sure we'll not see it coming.
A replicant virus. Is it a virus or a replicant? Will it need retiring? If the website hosted a picture of a turtle on its back, will it rotate the picture 180 degrees? Will we know if it's a replicant virus or a real virus by the end of the article?
Major ISP, 20Gb cap extra 40Gb off peak. I setup a nice scheduler and I usually hit the 60Gb on the last day of my billing cycle. I run the Tomato firmware so I could check up on what's going through my router, maybe this month... Stuck with plain old ADSL, no upgrades to the local exchanges anytime soon either.
I've always wondered how safe you are when paying utility bills over the phone using a tone phone, like if someone finds a connection at the call centre which takes the card number and listens to tones of card numbers/expiry dates/verification numbers flowing through the line. Maybe it's a little more secure than my paranoid mind thinks, maybe someone knows a little detail on what's involved with these systems?
On Tuesday, Slashdot was granted US Patent No. 7,407,090 for storing a preference for rubber or latex on user ID's and displaying a picture of said preference after their login is scanned. The invention, Big Green explains, eliminates the 'unnecessary inconvenience for both the customer and Cowboy Neal' that results when 'Rubber or Latex?' must be asked. The patent claims also cover affixing a cute sticker of a rubber or latex costume to a users login ID to indicate "packaging" preferences...
Australia Post implemented the Royal Mail's 4 state barcoding system for all bulk and pre-sorted mail categories. The barcode incorporates RS and greatly improves the scan rate of damaged mail. The RM4SCC was adopted throughout the US and Canada.
To get to the more remote areas of Australia, sheep stations, mines etc., we will be retaining the same media delivery, but at a much slower rate, dictated by how fast Larry can turn his flashlight on and off...
iTrojan, custom trojan, personally designed by Steve Jobs' evil twin Rodney Jobs, the UI would be beautiful, white, sterile. Mass infection through Starbucks WiFi.
I was demonstrating this to a friend a week ago and he asked about the range, I said I wasn't sure, so I walked outside, across the road and down two doors and I could still type and use the built in mousepad thing. Well over 40 meters. Works out of the box with Ubuntu. Battery lasts for a month without recharging. I combine this with a Logitech Harmony 785 and MythTV, very happy with the results.

That's interesting, I was aware of PostBar but not the others incorporating RS. Thanks.

Just don't leave the trigger lying around, anyone could find that and we'd be up to our armpits in borealis...

Every American should be fitted with a government issued flatulence belt and sphincter funnel.
