Majority of them are translations of japanese games that were never released here. I am glad that people do these translations since it gives us a chance to play those games that we never had a chance to play before (unless you read japanese and where able to import the game and japanese system)
I'm not ashamed that I have these games.. alot of them I haven't played much. Theres a few that I go back and finish from time to time (Final fantasy games for example but I have the orginal carts for those anyways )
anyways thats my 2 cents. I'll have to checkout that site tho.. sounds interesting.
They need to go back to the Phantasy Star roots and make a single player game with a great story. Maybe take aspects that people liked from PSO and take them to a single player game.. (such as creating your own character instead of the pre set Hero character)
anyways the "online" bit was the worst thing to happen to Phantasy Star.. other than number 3:P
So Blizzard bans a crap load of cheat using accounts from battlenet. Most people applaud there "tough stance on cheaters" and "this bodes well for there upcoming MMORPG World of Warcraft"
but when you think about it banning so many cheaters (including the "lite cheaters") doesn't really harm Blizzard and in reality gives them an chance to resell those old games.. You don't pay a fee to play on BNet.. and the majority of players on Bnet are playing older games which aren't really flying off the shelves...
personally this is a good way to get people to repurchase these games to play on Bnet again.
Its kind of interesting that the arcade version of Ninja Gaiden lacked all that made the NES version cool. Its like they made the arcade game and thought "Hey we could attach a pretty cool story onto this"
Parent today don't keep an active role in the majority of what there child views.. I saw this the most back when I was working at Blockbuster.
More than a few times some unwitting parent would grab a movie from the anime section at there kids request and bring it up to rent.. there are some that I would rent out without hesitation and others.. (Ninja Scroll for example) I would let the parent know that this probably wouldn't be the best for there 7 year old kid.
I had left before GTA3 came out so I know from talking to my old co-workers that not much has changed. They will still try to rent whatever there kid asks without hesitation.. until you actually let them know about that game..
The orginal cart was translated by a group a few years back. If you ever wanted to play the orginal its out there and understandable if you don't know Japanese.
My god how many more perpherals are they going to add to this thing. I bet if you had them all hooked up at once the thing would be the size of a desktop PC.
I have alot of pirated roms.

Seriously .. I had a pirated copy of Operation Flashpoint and I never had any problems with the game at all.
Have the little buggers write there own.. and with this new generation of Nerds we then can take over the world!!!
I think todays penny-arcade gives insight on this...

I loved those old white case LCD games...
had Gauntlet and Simons Quest on those.
for an LCD game they were both really fun.

Look at the game Disgaea Hour of Darkness by Atlus... and steal as much as you can. :P

Personally I think it was just a GM who decided to quit and have some fun with the GM tools.

and even then they may or may not care.
While not technically an endboss WarMech from Final Fantasy was denfinately the start of something good.
:P
Pace back and forth on the bridge leading Tiamat in the sky castle until he comes.... and nukes your entire party

I think you need to lay off painting with a big brush my friend.
Joe Lieberman is the main asshat. Not the entire democratic party.
And if anyone says otherwise I'll fucking kill em.
Why bother shipping IT overseas when you can ship the exec's job over seas.. they are the ones that don't do anything and get paid way to much for it.
Honestly i'd rather have that fat guy/girl exercising via DDR than trying to belt out songs from the 80's
Though I can definately see "Like a virgin" being popular with this crowd.

I remember playing Bard's Tale on my friends Amiga. Damn good times good times..

When they make a codpiece with a heatsink and water cooling then give me a shout.
How much more sophisticated can "Bottoms Up" be? :P
yea time will kinda tell on that.. personally I enjoy games online so it kinda skews my opinion.
