  1. Re:There are better reasons why they're not in pri on Comics Escape a Paper Box and Evolve to the Web · · Score: 1

"Look at Dilbert or Calvin and Hobbes or, better yet, at the one that got attacked by both PvP Online and Penny Arcade: Non Sequitur. I'm not saying the individual comics are better, but I'm saying that they've produced one comic a day for years straight. No "shirt-guy stick-figures" filler strips, no "today (or this month) I don't have time to draw one", no "I forgot I was supposed to draw one in colour for today", no other excuses."

Dont be so sure that they never had there days where they couldnt get a strip out.. the difference between the paper published ones and the web ones are the web ones have the option of doing a filler.. while the published ones will just reprint an older comic.

Intellectual property which is owned by the company who created the game not the players.

The players have no right to "sell" the items it is against the EULA (unlike Everquest which has a system setup to do just that for real money)

If this happened in EQ I could see more merit for this being a criminal case since REAL money is officially used and approved by the company to purchase items in game. The game is moved closer to something like an online gambling site than a not for personal profit game.

Do we know who sicked the police on this guy? If it was the parent company than yes I can kinda see where this could be a crime.. in a way...

So on one hand we have GTA:SA a previous M rated game that involved various criminal acts and whatnot which had in its code a game where there is "OMG SEX" and badly simulated at that but was disabled and not available for whatever reason until some reasourceful people who where going through the PC version discovered it and using a patch, re-enable it.

(you can wax philosphy all day long about if it was meant to be found yadda yadda)

and then you have the SIMS2 which has various acts of living in your house flirting baby making and alien abductions.. which resourceful people can create various household items such and decorations outfits and skins for which may or may not have giant throbbin cocks or whatever on them.

One had the content and skins already in

The other has the skins and content created by the player..

We know the differences between the two, but who wants to guess which way the media, politicians and other twats like Thompson are going to go.
