Do I think that the FBI and SS would respond to the theft of code from an open source project? I think whoever sold you your Slashdot phrasebook owes you a refund.
Damn right.. I am one of those thousands with a new CS degree and no chance in fucking hell of actually finding a job. I'm now working on law school. If I don't have a job when I graduate, I may at least be able to sue somebody.
O' knowledgeable troll-man, please tell me where the hell can I get a camcorder that's got a sharp enough image resolution to accurately capture the data on a DVD?
Whoops. When you forget to use the code mode instead of plain old text, slashdot doesn't like comparison symbols. The second if should be "If target's hp is less than -1, set it to -1."
You live, you learn, you clog the system with extra comments:)
"many of us (techies) lust after Apple hardware which can command a premium price in part because of its styling"
???
Can we get a slashdot poll on that? If the question is "Do you want a Mac?" I'm guessing "No" is easily going to win out over "Yes, but they're too expensive".
Your post contains a sequence of more than one question mark; therefore, you are in violation of the Sounding Like A Fucking Dolt Act. Federal agents have already traced the source of the offending punctuation, and should be arriving shortly at your door.
Your post conatins an utter inability to comprehend sarcasm; therefore, you are in violation of Section 2 of the Sounding Like A Fucking Dolt Act, which I can only assume you are familiar with.
What does this mean? Is it that 780,000 people have signed up, or that 780,000 people own PS2 online adaptors? I could say that 100% of Xbox's have "online connectivity" because every Xbox has an ethernet port built in. I think these numbers are very deceptive.
Well it could very well be 780,000 broadband adapters sold. Unlike the X-Box though, I'd imagine if you bought a broadband adapter (as opposed to having it come with the system), you probably intend to actually use it.
Probably not for quite a long time. Feel free to try and speed up the process by organizing SinFest 2004. Try and organize a Guiness-worthy number of people to all eat some pork while yelling "God Damn It", worshipping an idol and slapping their moms simultaneously.
I've only played one MMORPG so far, Asheron's Call, and I don't really remember it being very buggy or seeming unfinished. I may have an atypical viewpoint of the game, but I also don't really recall seeing other people bitch and moan about it either, so it may very well have been one of the few good ones.
Damnit.. this has made me all nostalgic now... I want to go kill some Lugians, but I'm not paying $10 to sign up for the priviledge.:-)
I'm reasonably sure that with the way the IDE works, if you try to run an unsaved program it will first save it, then compile and then run it. So even if it does crash the IDE all the code was just saved prior to running your crappily written program.

If your wang is prehensile, I suggest you go see a doctor immediately.
Step outside, and marvel in the fact that before the internet, people lived in the REAL WORLD.
That was before we discovered skin cancer, smog and outdoor advertising. Now we retreat back into our safe, dark caves (or apartments, as applicable) and we like it that way.
Meanwhile people who sit on KaZaa all day hurt the rest of us, see the sibling post about how shops are changing their game return policies.
You do realise that people on Kazaa have absolutely jack squat to do with shops changing their return policies? The behavior that the return policies (or rather lack thereof) is supposed to prevent is people buying games, burning themselves (and their friends) copies and then returning them. If people are downloading ISOs of Kazaa, then they're not buying the game to return it and abuse the return policy.
+ Built in autodoc to automatically release anti-coagulant over any detected gunshot wound, and coolant/soothing cream over any burn.
;)
That makes the whole NASA fubar of switching metric/imperial units seem minor by comparison.
So they conducted raids in 11 countries and nabbed three key people? Must be one hell of a bad day to be a lackey. :)

Microsoft: You know that thing you guys don't want? Now it's available in three collectable colors!
New business plan:
:-)
1. Sell firearms and maps to the homes of the wealthy.
2. Profit!
Sweet.. I didn't even need the mystery second step. I think this one has potential.

Technically, the Navajos and the like are also imported umm "Americunts", just a much earlier importation.
You doubt the awesome power of Mr. T?
Somebody shot President Martin Sheen? Why was this not on CNN?!

Why?
Just do:
ApplyDamage(target, damage) {
if (target.hp == -2)
return
target.hp -= damage
if (target.hp -1)
target.hp = -1
return
}

Not necessarily, we could just start killing off those people peskily reproducing elsewhere. I mean really, would you miss India?
Trust me, that sounds as equally paranoid to an American.

Nice, I'll just pop both of them on for the kids
Don't mind him, he's just bitter than David and Danny don't talk to him any more since their show ended.
