    Umm you could as a favor to your friend either find a file called netinst.iso from a "debian" mirror or get a nonaddicted copy of Windows from certain rum drinking sailors (not recommended) or maybe perform certain dark incantations to summon net or free "powers"

    yes but given the machine required to do this has the same "deck cost" as a case of ammo or a pair of rockets * 5 then ....
    speaking of which your "deck cost" is very high so you get to stay on the beach

    the big point is that in an open Atmosphere (r) Adobe would rise or fall on just its own actions but with Microsoft building things in folks land up gasping for air.

    i do think that the Chrome on the MSSC should be customized to show branding but the "builtin" MSChrome should be a simple click to revert to (also it should be required to show "recognized but not ours" for the options)

    What should be done is similar to what exists in the Linux world
    on most systems you have Bootloader > kernel > shell > X > DE > Apps >applets
    in any good Distro you have at least 2 options that can be used for just about anything.

    In Microsofts case they like to "lock out" the Not US choice

    Does anybody have a suggestion on a *nix based livefilesystem that can be used to clean up after this mess
    (drill would be yank the net cable shutdown the system and reboot using a Rom)

    it of course would need proper NTFS support and an antivirus/anti#deleted#ware program and a way to update the pattern files (kind of like Puppy Multisession)

    you do know that by convention "America" does in fact refer to The United Sates of America not the three? different continents (formally North central and South America)

    and like a certain redmond company there may be a leverage issue (if enough folks have #Program then the expectation is that all folks have #Program)

    umm if you downloaded the correct format then it should have done something when you double clicked the file (and popped up a menu when you right clicked)

    but if you downloaded a tarball (BZ2 , GZ) unpack it and READ (it should have a file named oh INSTALL)

    maybe because the files are now "protected" system files (the point is to make sure that Windows itself doesn't get borked but...) i would port the batch file to bash and then do the run from a Live CD (make sure you have ntfs write support)

    what might be a wild idea is to figure out a list of drugs (those most likely to not create physcos) and then give the list to the Pharm COs and have them fight it out
    + get small scale farmers on the job to pick up the more organic ones.

    Flood the market and the crime parts will decrease + quality control will prevent some deaths.

    umm i don't know about books persay but i do know that some brides have survived for thousands of years (natural bridges and roman ones to start with)
    bridges are something that you can learn about by looking at "currently installed" ones.

    besides some books qoute older books that quote older books ... that quote scrolls by "Saulus of cyprus"

    what i think should be the rule is credit history should go as part of an AD&D style should i hire this person "attack"

    ie Paladin HRmanager swings a +15 "hammer of credit history"
    Barbarian Smith is hit and rolls 2d6 to save (can the low score be explained??)

    If you have two canidates that are almost equal and CH is the only thing left to decide (other than a coin toss) yes use CH if you are in a money job (you touch actual or virtual money on a daily basis or deal in company assets) use CH but don't use CH as a pass /fail just because

    1 this posting is worth exactly what you "paid for it"
    2 i happen to be a lawyer
    3 i do not know the exact law(s) that pertain to your situation
    4 chat up your own lawyer before using anything i have said (filter for local law(s))

    its sort of like if House happened to mention that from the sound of your cough you might have #name of condition the next thing he would say is to visit your own doctor and get checked out (or possibly visit him in his office but...)
