You're thinking about the wrong type of drugs. The drugs they are talking about is not like speed or cocaine... they don't make you feel better... they increase muscle mass through different ways (like THG, various steroids).
if i had the money... i'd do it in a heart beat... talk about ridiculously cool. what besides going to Mars (which won't happen for 20 more years atleast) would top it?
some people spend ten - twenty years training and going to school for just the chance to go to space.
fuck buying a big ass yacht or a stupid jet, you can fky to the goddammn moon!
They had league problems last night. As in it took forever to download the leagues and usually it'd just time out and say it was incapable of getting the leagues.
I really with they'd let you play Franchise mode onilne. Where 2 players are able to have their own teams inside a Franchise like on Madden 2004.
Its a good game though, I've already played like 10+ games in 4 days.
I'd say production is a problem. It takes 9 months to produce one unit no matter how advanced technology gets or how many resources you throw at the problem.
Please don't shout truths like that on slashdot, it's a well known fact Americans know little and care even less about history. You might hurt their fraglie ego's if you try to make them think about the consequences of their actions or learning from the past.
Sell your computer and go work in a homeless shelter or shut up. Fsck'ing troll. You're very quick at trying to get other people to give up things they enjoy yet you still troll/.
I know it may sound funny, but NFS:U is a great game. The sense of speed, the courses, the AI, all of it is great. The AI never drive the same, they never shift the same, they never use NOS at the same time, they crash into oncomming traffic if going too fast, etc... it really makes it a blast to play because each race is different. I love the drag races where at any moment 2 outta 4 opponents can be taken out by a car crossing in front of us.
For those of you that don't get it, its a reference to the latest South Park episode where people from the future come to South Park and offer to work for pennies on the dollar. There's a whole bunch of red-necks that get together and say "They took our jobs" in various redneck ways.
Quite funny, even though I swear they were making fun of Indians and not Mexicans at first. You know... coding PHP/Java for $5/hr.
Same story here, Xbox 1st gen dvd drive crappedo out, and bought a GC. Problem is that the GC has great games, but once you play the 3-5 games that are great. There's NOTHING else. Everything else that comes out is shit. 1 or 2 great games come out for the GC a year. Atleast for the Xbox, a good mediocre game would come out every month but it would have online play which automatically gives it replay value.
I think price will always be a hurdle for solid state storage. Well that and memory chips etc.. are very expensive to create while optical media is very very cheap...
Phoenix sucks for tech too. Most companies are small time shops that rarely have enough work to keep more than 1 full-time employee.
There are soo many small tech companies here, mostly because they all think they can upgrade all of this old technology thats in AZ. There are tons of small businesses that are running on equipment from the 80's.
Goddamit... I hate telling this story because it shows how weak I was...
I was on a cheap trip to Vegas with my Fiancee... Cheap meaning we drove there, stayed in $30/night hotel room, and $10 in nickle poker machines. While walking around we got stopped and offered free tickets if we listened to their talk about time-shares. We say okay because free stuff on a cheap trip cannot be refused. Long story short... 3 hours of talking and I was ready to put $2k down on a timeshare... ofcourse I only had $200 in my bank account (ie. the cheap trip). Me and my s/o fought it out... he even left so I could pursuade her and even kept trying to boost my male ego.
Thank god for the level headed, no-bullshit woman I married. She almost left me after all the shit I gave her during all that presentation. Ofcourse she'll never let me forget... and so I still remember the horrible feeling I had afterward that I was manipulated.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but from the PDF text, it says that you can send out SMS messages from people's cell phones. Couldn't this used by spammers to send spam SMS messages through random people's accounts. I can imagine some guy walking around a mall or various Starbucks and spamming away using people's cell phones.
I uhhh... made the same program last year in January or so at a client's request. I was skeptical that I could defraud Google's AdWords, but I ended up being successful. Out of respect, I never gave the client's his program even though it worked and sent it over to Google and told them about their vulnerability.
Defrauding Google, is like defrauding a family member or something...
Seriously, I just don't get why you'd want to watch video's at a resolution so small.
Hot new music videos, extreme radical sports, wild, action videos that wreak havoc and lay waste
Who the hell uses the word "radical" anymore? WTF are "wild, action video that wreak havoc and lay waste"... It sounds like the videos are going to shit on you..
I build something like this at the request of a client. After I built and realized how well it worked, I never gave it to him and sent the code to google. I got to talk to some of their engineers. I don't know if they ever did anything about it.
The program worked by getting a list of anonymous open proxies, and at random intervals pick an anonymous proxy and search google with a spoofed referer and user agent and parse out the urls of the competitors. Then go to the parsed link using another faked referer etc.
Now google claimed that they wouldn't charge their clients if they found fraudulent clicks, but it still knocked off the listing from the searches. Which meant that I could pay.05/click and be #1 in any category.
It worked very well and I'm sure if it got into the wrong hands it'd cause google-adword havoc.
I'm not sure sniffing would work. Imagine an algorithm for the password based on some variable (time for instance) and a seed (password) that is known to both machines but not transmitted. It would be a bit harder to reverse engineer and crack the "knocking code".
I didn't say Linux is the LCD, I said image what linux would be if it was an LCD. I made the point that it wasn't an LCD because it was coded by and for technologically savvy people.

So... do we get rid of HUMMER's or Solar Powered cars? Wouldn't common sense dictate that the bigger car is the threat and should be disallowed?
I don't know of economy car that could get in a head on collision with a HUMMER and the passenger survive.
I truly don't understand why the government allows such large cars/trucks share the road with small/midsize cars.

THAY TOOK MY JAWB!!!
Well yeah.. putting gas into it won't make it go anywhere except maybe catch on fire if someone smokes near it...
