You really should put a space and properly capitalize Win CE...I had to read it like 3 times before I figured it out, I had no idea what the fuck you were talking about!
You let the supervisor beat you. If you had just continued to be your normal, productive self and just work a little harder on being fairly on-time (is it really that hard?), you'd probably be your supervisor's boss by now. Having a crap boss is just something you have to deal with sometimes in life, and if you want to move up in the world, you have to be the better man. Besides, most companies want their management candidates to be punctual people, and part of a supervisor's performance review is based on their subordinates' punctuality.
If moving up with this company was what you wanted to do, then it sounds like sacrificing 10 minutes of your lunch break was in order. Unless there was an entrenched "buddy system", of which your new sup was involved. In that case, you were right to get out.
Instead, you just need a digital soundcard (came included with my Soyo Dragon Plus motherboard) and an actual component MD recorder (not portable, like my Sharp MD-R1 I got NIB off e-bay 2 years ago for $120 after shipping).
I suggest that you, kind sir/madam, do a search on Google to see what happened with the advent of the DAT that has plenty to do with RIAA. You might try starting with "SCMS" for your search. Then, you will see the parallels and reason for concern.
Every review of that device that I have seen states that it doesn't work, or at the very least works far poorer than similar devices, so I would avoid that one.
"Opera 7.10" was not released. "Opera 7.10 Beta 1" was released. It does mention further down in the paragraph that this is a beta, but it still gives the impression that this is a release.
This is why I go to pclinuxonline.com for my Linux news.
Well, if you want a similar system, there's Gnome Office (Abiword, Gnumeric, etc.) I don't think the "separate but equal" approach Mozilla is taking would work for oo.org because, aren't most of its coders and funding coming straight from Sun? Plus their competition is MS Office, so integration is a lot more important for them than Mozilla because THEIR compeition is IE (which IS integrated with it's entire OS, but still), and MAYBE Outlook (see parenthesis) if you want to look at it that way.
Isn't that the one with the combo black+color cartridge that's like $50 to replace and prints like 1 page a minute? If that's all you want from a printer, I guess I can't argue there.
You and all the customers I spoke to during my tenure in computer peripheral support who stated this are idiots, no offense.
Even with a $100 printer, $60 worth of ink cartridges (assuming $35 for the color and $25 for the black) is still cheaper than a new $100 printer. And the cartridges you get are full, not 1/2 full like the ones included with the printer. So in effect, every time you do this, you are paying $100 for $30 worth of printing.
How exactly is this supposed to drive up prices again?
Yeah, but you don't get consistent quality throughout the life of the nozzle. With cartridges that include both (and given that you don't refill them), you do. This may or may not be important, depending on your use for printing.
The whitepaper shows that the 5500 can only record at 22khz using the mic input. Is this a device limitation, or software? Because I really want to use this when it becomes available (which will use the CF slot for input and a mic jack on the add-on itself), but it's not going to be worth it if the highest sampling rate available is 22khz:( Does anyone know anything?
Heh, I'm in the same boat. I just got my N80/24-85 3.5-4.5 AF-S/50 1.8d and all the fixins set up that I've wanted for a couple of years (well, both lenses are pretty new but you know what I mean). This offer is too good to pass up!
Fortunately I can have it shipped to work and leave it there for a while;)
Do you realize that Mandrake filing for bankruptcy had nothing to do with them providing or not providing free.iso's, and everything to do with mismanagement by former company officers?
Mandrake is almost to break even after (I think, number might be off) 18 months of flushing money down the toilet by a "high profile" CEO. So cut them some slack, eh?
He has a cult following that borders people like Kurt Cobain, Ed Vedder, Jim Morrison, etc. Every word this man speaks/writes is copied, discussed, scrutinized, and dissected into oblivion.

So the console that's lagging behind is going to increase sales by diversifying further into a dying market dominated by two companies (Namco and Sega)? Not to mention the fact that while it's the most powerful console out there, the next gen stuff is less than 2 years away. Unless they can get A) a half a dozen games released B) get them into arcades and C) make them profitable immediately (i.e. development time + shipment + profitability 24 mos), this is only going to lose more money for this department. Sad thing is, development and profitability time is the easy part at this point for MS; they have yet to come out with a SIGNIFICANT number of quality games for the HOME console; this is just going to dilute things further with 2 different areas to develop for.
Go ahead MS, keep flushing money down the toilet muahahahaha!
I would have figured it out the first time was it WinCE. However, with WINCE, I was like, what does that stand for?
I wasn't trying to be flamebait, but oh well.
Chris

Sorry, as much as I like CDex (it kills Audio Catalyst, what I was using previously), EAC is still better.
Chris
Troll?
It's been clarified many times that OS X is not Unix (OINUX?) Yellow Dog is Linux, but OS X is not Unix.
Do a search on google, hell do a search on SLASHDOT for any mac/unix related article, and find out why.
Chris
Here's my viewpoint, don't take offense...

And if you think I'm paying $1000 for one button, you're wrong. I require at least THREE buttons for my $1000, if not SIX!

But why would there be customer confusion between a BIOS and a browser, then?

But personally, I think oo.org is fine as it is.
Chris
Same here. I'm not saying you have to have a spouse that shares all your interests, but she has to be able to tolerate your passions :)
Chris
Burninate?
