So perhaps he is somewhat willingly hanging out in solitairy. Note that he's not in general population, perhaps that is why.
What you're suggesting is more akin to "protective custody" than solitary confinement. It seems pretty clear to me that he is no way under any kind of protective custody...
The about:mozilla egg went all the way back to the Netscape 4.x family; possibly earlier, too(?).
In Netscape 4.7, it said:
"And the beast shall come forth surrounded by a roiling cloud of vengeance. The house of the unbelievers shall be razed and they shall be scorched to the earth. Their tags shall blink until the end of days." -- from The Book of Mozilla, 12:10
By "recent", he didn't mean "immediately following the announcement." I don't follow, nor have I ever used DALnet (I logged on once, and did a/list... bad idea), but I'm pretty sure these DDoS attacks have been going on for at least two months.
Now... in this situation, I can't help but think that's a bad thing for them.
It's like getting the attention of the Mafia by beating the crap out of a few of their guys...

Your analogy is flawed. Spanish is a language; a method of communication. Encryption is not. At best, encryption is a method of protecting data.
Translating from Spanish to English isn't illegal, because Spanish wasn't "developed" to protect the information that is being communicated.

I know those are high-res pics, but don't focus on the plates... You'll noticed everything is "blurred out". It's obviously motion blur.
Because we all know that people, regardless of their wealth, who represent other people, aren't really people at all...
Meanwhile, Mozilla users need only wait a couple weeks, if that, for their fix.
Why is a bug in IE news?
I didn't start using Mozilla regularly until 1.0, but I, too, never noticed any problems with the articles on CNN.com.
