Nowadays it's more of an online thing for IT workers. Smart IT workers anyway. As immigration laws tightened and IT popularity increases in the States, while salary rate isn't declining, many companies look for resources overseas.
For example, why pay a local $60,000 a year for software development if this could be done online with a foreign programmer for $15,000 instead?
If it is a vacation + business thing you're looking for, then it's a whole different story. I would rather just do vacation, while still able to do my job globally at home. Go check out getacoder.com, there are many more of such. Look it up.
Of course, this is just for the IT field as far as I know. But I'm sure it will spread to other fields if not already, especially with the enforcing of the laws here in the USA against aliens. This global thing is growing like crazy, one would have to be Hitler to stop this.
I guess the best survival tactic without having to face ethical issues for some staffs at Microsoft is to keep a low profile in the company, if not quitting.

My answer to this battle is that they will always win. Because this world is all about $$$. But this world will not last. And those who are in it will not last either. There is another world, mixed into this world, this other world is eternal. Led by our savior Christ, who is also our God and creator. This other world will even be the judge of the formal one. No one can be in two worlds. Make your choice before it's too late. Beware, for those who think they are "enjoying" both of these worlds are actually not in the eternal one. You cannot serve both God and Mammon.
Trust me. China now has weapons matching U.S. Moreoever, there are more chinese in china than there are americans in U.S. MOREOEVER, there are so many chinese in U.S. it's gonna choke U.S.
So, don't worry, U.S. and China won't go to war. The chinese have never invaded other countries throughout history. As long as the U.S. doesn't do anything stupid, there's peace.
Before this achievement, many will laugh... When it's done..there's only two possibility, especially from the western civ: 1. Amazed. 2. Not Amazed and blame China's success on their own asian researchers for not understanding the English word "Confidential" or "Top Secret" thoroughly.
