    heh.

Anyway, about the book. I think this review is missing some parts, like, the review part. *shrug*

I will say, localroger is my favorite K5 author, but the clumsy name of the book has put me off reading it (silly, I know). The plot introduction above makes it sound interesting, though. Maybe it's worth a try.

Human twins may lead very similar lives, but then, human twins are born together, generally live in the same environment at the same exact time, have most of the same experiences, and they have each other for reinforcment. If you take away all those factors, as in this case, you are left with only the genetic factors. It seems genetic factors just don't have that much effect, relatively, on behavior, which isn't really that surprising.

Have you ever spent a lot of time around identical twins? At first, they seem, well, identical. After six months of daily exposure, they won't even look alike to you, or even act alike.

Actually, I think its quite clear and accurate. They will announce that it will ship this year, but instead, it will become late this year.

Also, if the history of innovative storage techniques holds true, it will be too expensive (when released) to gain acceptance. When the price comes down to where buyers might take notice, 5 gigs will be about as useful as a floppy, rendering the device affordable and nearly useless.

I've been playing this damn game for over 15 years, and I'm so used to the keyboard commands and textmode graphics, I can't play with any of the fancy rendering and menus and whatnot. I *have* thought of doing 3D text characters, and saving the pretty graphics for the environment, where it doesn't matter for gameplay.
