The people I know in China all claim to use Japanese and Korean proxies to get access to everything. Anybody know if this is true? If so, then you can be assured that plenty of people are doing this, and largely making the PRC efforts pointless.
SIM cards are put in GSM phones. Verizon and Sprint/Nextel are CDMA services. Kind of like what Japan has, but not as good.
CDMA phones are activated by the phone company. There is no concept of unlocked phones in the same way that there are with GSM services that use SIM cards. The point is, you cannot buy your own phone in any state where you can just hop on this network. Verizon would HAVE to activate it for you, and they seem to not be too keen on that idea.
It seems like this book is meant for more general purpose tuning, which is in itself quite useful and important. I've seen books before for tuning specific server types. Perhaps having these both would make a good combo reference.
I disagree that the masses want to own a Mac with their iPod.
I see tons of people with iPods now. At least 10% of the people at my gym had iPod minis. And regular iPods are all over the place at my school.
There is no way all of these people own Macs, and I think the general populous doesn't really care. They just want a hip music player that works with their computer.
This isn't the "merger" that Oracle is saying it is. PeopleSoft will be slowly phased out. The only reason they are claiming to still want to improve the application is because PSFT gave their customers 10 year support contracts, and Oracle is legally obliged to maintain that, or refund money. And refunding is something they could not afford, as contracts like Cal State Universities are worth over 300 million.
So now instead of having 2 companies doing business, we have 1, with the other guaranteed to be dead in under 10 years.
I think most medical research, at least that which is done by university professors really is in the name of bettering mankind.
And that is the research that the NIH is paying for.
Historically, the pharmaceuticals though get all of the attention because you don't hear about these drugs until they've decided to market them. It's really a shame.
I think this has alot more to do with Kerry not being able to get people excited than anything else. I'm a republican, and voted as such, however I seriously wanted someone else to vote for.
This is a fine example of what is wrong with the American public. You don't vote for a man that you feel doesn't deserve to president! If you really think Kerry is that bad, then vote for one of the third-party candidates.
You voted for all of things Bush did that you didn't like, and all of the creative shit we all know he is going to come up with over the next four years. Afterall, imagine what he can think up without having another election to win.
It is something I like about Bush, politicians need to stop being afraid to piss people off, like the saying goes "If you're not on someone's shit list you're not doing anything important.."
When a politician pisses people off, said people don't vote for him.
And obviously Bush isn't afraid to piss people off. When the president of the US cannot correctly say "Internet", I get quite pissed off.
IIRC correctly their April Fools pranks always include an actual new product. That's what I'm waiting for.
Why, yes it does!
They're going to be really disappointed when they find out what happens when you leave an iPod drive spinning all day.
Their biggest mistake was not letting Belkin build the entire store. Their lack of gold-plating around the buildings led to low performance.

They're called buffered slow-release tablets. Check out your Advil bottle.
I can't wait to get this. I really enjoy using 10g for projects, and hopefully I can distribute this with my free software.
My one question is, how will this stack up against MySQL. Other than the fact that MySQL is supposedly more free, how could it beat this?
Propz to GNAA

Europe doesn't use CDMA, only US and Japan.
The US military is getting way too much money if they have enough to experiment with stuff like this.

I use Rational's (IBM) stuff in my work. It's expensive for sites, but I think pretty reasonable if there is only going to be one tester.
Rational Robot does automated testing. I'm pretty sure they have load and performance tools too.

It plays the video in the album artwork display. Do you have it hidden?
That encoder was in the last release of iTunes. It isn't new.
Jobs said that video on portable devices was a bad move (or something). I remember it sounded like he was implying such a thing would never happen.
Soundtrack was originally packaged as part of Final Cut Pro, and wasn't for sale as standalone.
The EU is where all the gay people live! And we all know which computers THEY prefer!

Mach is 3mb...I think
Slashdot isn't behind. It's premiering in the US now. You have ep11 because it aired in the UK first, and you're seeing a SkyTV rip. Isn't it great?
OT, but man ls and info ls show the same document (at least on OS X) :)

Cuz nerds love nothing more than a good round of Madden 2005 :D
Lies require thought and planning.
The truth requires citing specific knowledge.
