Mod this guy up! That was freaking hilarious. I salute the guy/gal who did that.
I'm a huge fan of thief 1 and 2. However when they got rid of the Looking Glass team I was none too happy. I even liked their ancient Terra Nova game on my Pentium 133!!!
However, there is a law blocking this. As long as the act is illegal he is held to that standard. Now I believe this should be struck down on 1st Amendment violation, but what do I know.
Everyday I'm more and more disappointed in the people of this country & world.
Unfortunately they died as well. At least I didn't bother staying until I had an opportunity to move out instead of up. It was a great first job on my resume until the fiasco, luckily for me I departed a few years before the shit hit the fan.
Working for myself is excellent. My boss isn't bad, the pay is good, the hours are a bit much but that is my choosing, and the only person I have to rely on for security is myself!
For which computers is the iBook Logic Board Repair Extension Program available? The program is available for iBooks with serial numbers in the following range(s):
UV220XXXXXX to UV318XXXXXX
iBooks with the serial numbers listed above may be referred to as:
Unfortunately mine is a few thousand from the end of UV318XXXXXX which means I've got one of the POS boards. Oh well, I bought it for my wife and she never uses it, so according to those that had the failure it will be a while before it breaks.
A PC Based Web System is not even comparable to the Mainframe (CICS/COBOL) systems of yore. Most projects my company implements are reworked every 4-5 years out of necessity. To stay ahead of the market you should plan for what is needed now, not what "might" be needed in 90 years.
I guess getting a project done in a timely manner is important to my company. Plus our data specs in my primary field change every 5-10 years so we have no choice but to rewrite. Forced obsolescence is a good thing.
If it works for the next 24 years I'll be retired and they can hire someone else to fix it. I'm certain my code will not be around in 2100. So for all "practical" purposes, year % 4 = 0 works for the next 90 or so years.
Dick Chaney steals millions for his company I'm certain he'll "find" a position at after retiring from his wonderful job as VP. Not to mention the pathetic excuse for a president we have.
Ah well, maybe the hippie's will realize this time, when Nader says "Bush and Gore are the same" they'll quit smoking enough weed to think he's full of shit.
A vote for Nader is a vote for Bush, and that is a scary world indeed.
However, I tend to forget most places don't have the software engineers doing the DBA, Sysadmin, etc, tasks in addition to their programming. It is true that a formal education doesn't teach you (necessarily) how to be a good admin. The thing I've noticed about formally educated (not TechSkills/Phoenix) co-workers is they tend to understand more indepth reasoning behind why things are setup as they are. Where you are correct some moron who simply gets an MCSE may not have a clue about the global aspect of being a good admin and the "why" some things should be done a certain way.
That being said, I only hire people who have degree's in a related field to do work in that area. What other industry would you choose someone to work for you without any real education? I would prefer an actual Architect designs my house than some guy who read AutoCAD 2004 and thinks he can design a house.
I disagree. (English gentleman drives off quickly a la Family Guy.)
Every OS doesn't need to be idiot friendly, they do need ease of use. I don't think administering a system should be done by anyone without any background/training. However, that is the world we live in. I'd say only 1 in 10 of admin's I've worked with actually have any formal training or a college education. In the end it comes back to bite them and the company they work for.
It's not exaggerated, that is exactly what they said. Linux requires updating the same as any other system, the problem is under educated staff administering the boxes.
So Linux wasn't the problem, administering Linux was. This is a valid concern. I admin my systems and it is a chore. I run OS X, Linux and Windows based servers and agree OS X is by far the easiest to keep secure. Windows is next (that is applying available patches, assuming MS has released a patch for stated exploits), then Linux.
And helping the patient get what is necessary. For example, there was a man who was paralized in OKC about a year ago. With the pending tort reform we have here he would have been capped at $600,000. His medical bills over his life are expected to be in the $10,000,000 range.
What do propose then? Typical Republican, fuck everyone (until something happens to you). I agree lawyers get too much, however they take the risk (not charging clients unless they win). Tort reform isn't necessary because all it does is allow businesses to mitigate their liability when they fuck up due to their own negligence.
I don't care about reforming the system, I think the whole damn thing should be scrapped. However, if you think these "reforms" aren't because Republican contributers want to save money over valid lawsuits your a fool.
There are always two sides to every issue, maybe you should take a more informed look. Like the previous link has already shown Bush has far more contributions than Kerry & Edwards combined from lawyers.
BTW Just look what up? I hope you live in a state where you or a loved one is incapacitated due to the negligence of a business and you're told "Here's your $5, no leave us alone." Now that's justice.
My problem is finding a server that will populate the pre-drawn PDF form fields like ActivePDF. Until I can just Call objPDF.SetFormField("fieldName", value, 0) like in ActivePDF I'm stuck as well.
Anyone know something that does that and flattens remaining form fields (to limit size)?
All that will change is the venue of the location. This will in turn make sueing more difficult on the plantiff. How does this fix anything? Oh wait, it will make it harder for people to sue big companies, isn't that what Republicans are all about?
I wish they would post the numbers of the specific bills so I could read the whole thing. However, that kind of due dilligence is a bit much to show you that looking at a law (reform or not) is more than reading a fucking headline in a paper.
Maybe you need to dig a little deeper. Did you read the specific bill that is being blocked by democrats? Or did you just read an article that states the primary purpose of the bill and get on your political high horse?
Reform is just a buzz word, they are passing a LAW.
Well lick my John Thomas. Who would have thought to keep up on foreign culture as an advantage in spying. Not me, I'm full from this wafer thin mint.

Pourquoi avons-nous besoin d'une autre collection?

Release this puppy, it's the only way I can use all those "I guess yes, if the world were going to end." lines girls gave me!
Tobacco is the worst, it is the most frequently abused, etc.
I bet LSD caused some problems. No legal drugs (prescriptions), who knows?
Now I can figure out what smells so good in my crotch. Maybe I can get it in a bottle, make it stronger and spray it all over.
I can see it now: Crotch in a Bottle, by Calvin Klein

My favorite is Newcastle, but a good pint of Guiness or Black & Tan (Guiness/Bass) or a Half & Half (Guiness/Harp) is good.
Your ISP might get pissed.

If Year % 4 == 0 Then
Leap Year
Else
Not Leap Year
Very simple in my opinion.

Everytime I think I need to invest in anger management, someone shows me I'm not that bad. Thanks for the laugh "fuckwit"! Great stuff.
supposedly or supposebly if you're a fan of Friends.
