Honestly its like france and the reign of terror except its surprisingly smaller. Its also much less successful.

from what I understand they did this at squaresoft during the makeing of the final fanstasy movie. indle cycles were used by rendering during the day when the cpu was not floored at 100% useage. Atleast from what i understood from the articles that i read about it. As well as workstations were tied to the dedicated render farm at night. Since many of the artists had more than one machine at there desk it proably worked out well both at night and during the day.

lets look at this another way though, the majority of unskilled linux users is also increaseing people who leave there remote acess on unsecured and have simple pass words like 12345. Not to mention that firewalls most of the time aren;t that secure most people have ones that can be hacked themsleves and used as a slave to attack from. not to mention ip tunneling and hacking useing other protocols to gain the inital access.
i am sure it would make a decent webserver, however i don;t think its power consumption would justify it.

I deal with it every day in ao. yes i admit i am quite addicted to the game. but the freinds that i have are far more important to me than them. It hurts me still the same to see freinds leave the game due to the forceful act due mainly base on player gripage of a bunch of casual gamers whineing cause they can;t become uber nerfing the population of hardcore players. Would be nice for a chance to see some one do something to patrol these companies yet i see nothing that you can really do cause the minute you try they change the eula and claim its been there the hole time.
what about the more obvious of just blocking on a timed basis the attacking's MAC , this is unique and would force the offender to change there NIC. This should in some form upgrade the time of the block based on the the continuing offense of the target's time spent attacking. This would have to be implimented on a network of routers being a drawback but could most proably be a software upgrade and not a massive hardware one.

WOW what fun i can hardly wait, and every one wonders why opensource is nice ( humm annoying adds server running in my process list kill -9 ).
no i will not stop hacking game consoles, linux must run on everything, got it on my pda, got it on my dreamcast, hell if would stop gaming i would have it on my toaster and water meter by now!!

WTF, just cause there are alot of M rated games doesn't mean there good games that get played, and if they do it doesn't mean that people don't understand that its fake and realize the limits between reality and the games. I am a very hardcore gamer i play quake3 every day any were from 1 hour to 8hours a day, but i still realize that quake is just a game and you don't go around killing every one and pulling health runs off of pentagrams. I think the congress and all the other goverment renjects need to get the hell out of my life before you know the making breathing a public place or breathing to loud illegal.
