like for instance, I have this content here "that I bought," which means "I bought a limited personal use license with a physical copy of the content in one format," and that the copyright acts almost uniformly around the world permit making copies, as many as I want, of the content in alternate formats, as long as I do not lose/sell/toss-to-torrents my original copy and only utilize one copy at a time?
windows 8 is such a silly canard, such a rollup of scraps from under the counters at Microsoft, that a damn good whipping from Apple in all formats availiable is probably the only thing that can shake Microsoft's culture up. I think they're still capable of good stuff, Kinect as an example of taking thousands of dollars technology down to the price point of a really good controller. and it works well.
problem is, Microsoft is so anal about the DOS and NT userbases that they're trying to badly preserve them in a throwback visually to Presentation Manager. they need to fork their efforts. dying tech, over there... our Shiny New Thing that goes past IOS/Android, over here. arm-wrestle in the market, folks, and winner gets the development funding.
oh, and a bunch of "we always did it this way" guys would get fired and fade out of the picture.
you can never have too many cable trays and ducts. makes pulling and replacing so much better. you will never get more space, so spec double sized equipment room with a separate air handler. oil vapor and water vapor from the cutting tools does not go well with servers and stuff.
this guy Oman also has to start out with a stupefying level of moron, one that cannot be bought or learned, but which comes from birth. or whatever they call it on his home planet.
who needs to push for obsolescence, for prettier casing, for newer features and faster operation. with the iGimme! the market is endless! just as you're listening to your favorite song, glub, and the device is gone! the repeat sales will be ginormous! order now, and we will send TWO iGimme!s for the price of one, plus shipping and handling... .
I can think of a lot of automakers that should be sued for this, starting with BMW, the leaders of the plot to fiddle and look away from the road instead of drive, and periodically drop a hand to a switch that is right where it should be.
I go back to the first dispute settlement... Build a man a fire, they're warm for a night. Set a man on fire, they're warm for the rest of their life. which are you after, MotoTrolls?
you need to remember, however, that the software for these consumer devices is nowhere close to that on the Crays. no optimization is done any more... for you script kiddies, "optimization" means you manually with the assembly language, or automatically in the compiler, try several things and pick the one that uses the least memory/processor cycles/OSPF if multithreaded/whatever based on what you want to gain by optimizing code. all this "include.kitchensink" stuff just packs in extra code crap in case any of it is needed.
or to release sensitive data. and if he's spokespersoning for Anonymous, he's an accessory at the least. they could also go RICO (Racketeer Influenced Corrupt Organization) on Anonymous, it's a great little Swiss Army Lawbook for repeat offenders. so it's definitely FBI material, and Brown might well find himself without much of a legal defense.
I'm serious. every iteration of WinPhone has abandoned its users to no upward compatibility and no further support. If I had been silly or strung out enough to have bought a Win7 phone, I wouldn't have a WinProduct ever again.
not that I'm in the market, because they are a year late and a trillion dollars short in the market. the only industry reaction in anything close to real time to the iPhone was Google, and that's why those two lines have killed the rest of the business. you add up all the alternatives... WinPhone, BBOS, Symbian, Palm, whatever the Chinese just started up... add 'em all up, and it's an asterisk, too small to measure.
Alien Horshack left the project for TV.
"geez, nice office ya got here. be a shame if anything happened to it. Vinny, what you think?"

if the torrents were visible and easy to spy on, Our Governments In Action could just pick off the alleged violators.
results might be the same, but hey, the semantics are cleaner.

I know how this ends. Chunky (tm) soup warms you up and fills you up. and then Weatherbreak.

guess we better learn to live in the dark again, because these fools and the power companies they blather money out of will put us there yet.
Linus is a tech. techs are accustomed to looking at things as they are, and calling crap on stinking piles.
he's got his rights to call Romney a moron, and I say that not just because I agree with linus, but because that's the way that it is.
you, comrade, are thinking too much about Siberia. perhaps you should do research there... .
if the car is designed right, you don't.

all our cellphones are compromised with this Finnish virus!

how many furlongs per fortnight did each perform?
imagine a Beowulf cluster of nuclear submarine fire-control computers...
