The only thing that is wrong with the GBA SP is the screen size. I wish it were a little larger and it would be perfect. It looks like the DS isn't going to have any larger of a screen either which is unfortunate.
"GBA SP is way too small, the buttons are too small, the screen is too small, and the games quality is that of SuperNes!!! I expected something better than outdated 16-bit graphics. It was a great disappointment."
Uhhh...did you not do your research before you bought one? Its not like they aren't everywhere for you to try before you buy. As far as the types of games go, you obviously don't really have a clue as to what you were buying did you?
Just because a subject says "not a troll please read" doesn't really mean its not a troll post.
There is a HUGE benefit for not combining all these systems. Upgradability. I would hate to buy a DVR/DVD combo device only to have a new dvr model come out with a much larger HD or some new feature. I would then have to decide whether to wait for a combo device, or buy separates. Separate devices are still the best way to go. People use the remote control excuse all the time, but really, how much time is spent with the remote in hand when you are watching a dvd or recorded show? I know I just start the dvd and put the remote down. With the dvr I only touch it to fast forward.
The star trek box sets are SO overpriced its not even funny anymore. Look at other popular tv box sets for comparisons and they are much cheaper. CSI $60, Friends $55 for season 1, $35 for other seasons, Angel $45, Buffy $45, West Wing $45. But DS9 $97, TNG $97-$111. For the same number of episodes as other tv shows.
I would love to get all the TNG and DS9 box sets but not at $100 or higher a box. Paramount is gouging star trek fans because they know they can get away with it. Its a big slap in the face to star trek fans but they are to stupid to realize it.
And you get the same exact headline. Makes me wonder why anyone pays for anything online anymore since the same material is often duplicated (most of the time exactly) across multiple sites.
Have you played any of the jedi knight multiplayer? Its just all jedi's running round with light sabers pushing and pulling you off ledges. That was the bulk of my experience with it. Very boring.
I do disagree and I do choose to use something else. But making excuses such as "their R&D costs are higher" or other such excuses are not valid in why they charge a premium price non premium hardware.
They charge a premium price because people are blind and will pay that premium price not because of what the hardware is but how it makes them feel.
When i saw a link on CNN last week about this I immediately checked my patches to make sure I was all up to date and read it was released a month ago. A month is more than enough time for IT folks to make sure the patch doesn't break anything.
I'm thinking there are still people out there who shouldn't have the job they have...maybe all the bloodletting wasn't enough and more is needed?
I was going to post the exact same thing. I have a Pentium 3 now but with a via chipset motherboard and I have experienced incompatibilities because of the via chipset that I've had to work around. Some have been just an annoyance, others have been a pain in the butt. But because of my experience I've told myself that I won't be buying anything put a mb with an intel chipset in it. This means only intel CPUs.
I would love to buy an AMD processor, if only it would work with intel chipset based motherboards.
Apple doesn't make money on software, it makes money on hardware.
But when they charge too much for the OS upgrades AND too much for the hardware to run it that is a little too much. But so many are stuck in the Steve Jobs reality distortion field they can't or don't want to admit it.
Everyone seems to forget though, when you hit a certain price point, an extra 100 just to say you have the latest and greatest really isn't that much money.
The best teachers are the ones that DO NOT teach from the text book or use it at all. The text books represent a one sided story or what the publisher wants the kid to know. This is rarely the whole story or even the correct story. I'm in favor of ditching text books entirely. Need something to reference? After 3rd grade you should be able to take legible notes and study from them. Maybe 3rd and 4th graders would get notes copied from the teacher, but other than that how about learning instead of being spoonfed?
No one likes losing but there are different ways to lose. You can lose to a legitimately better player who is faster and more knowledgable about the game as a whole. That is a fair loss. Or you can lose cheaply. To someone that just sits there and has fast reflexes but thats it. They know one move and can do it faster than you can react. That is a cheap kill. The best way to deal with these people is to refuse to play against them. Tell them they are cheap players and find another opponent.
I'm all for a fair fight. I have no problem losing in a fair fight. But I refuse to play with people who win because of a glitch in the game or some other unfair advantage. I don't call that cheese, I call it cheating. If a game lets you drive through a brick wall that doesn't mean you should drive through the brick wall to win a round. That is not cheese, that is cheating.
The bigger question is why do you care what people think about Nintendo? As long as they crank out good games they will be around. Let people say whatever they want to say. If someone rips on it does that make the game any less fun?
Its like people argueing about which OS they use. Its stupid and pointless and the people that get all upset about it are just as bad as those making the statements.
I have a Scientific Atlanta 8000 dvr box via time warner and love it. But tivo can solve their little problem by licensing out the software to the companies that make the cable boxes. Or make their own cable boxes that are compatible. If they already tried to do this then they need to try harder.
Then again the cable box dvr has 2 tuners and lets me record 2 shows and watch a recorded one all at the same time. Only way you can do that with a tivo is with an expensive direct tv box. Maybe thats their problem. Their product is too expensive.
With so many people out of work and here you are complaining about getting 2 job offers right out of school that won't pay "enough"? I wonder what the offers were for. Out of college I wasn't being paid much at all.
I thought the same thing when I got an optical mouse. But found that just using it on my desk was way too wierd. It doesn't feel right. The texture on my hand and the feeling through the mouse is annoying unless its on a pad of some kind.
Why is it that gamecube developers announce they won't make any more gamecube games after they release a poorly rated game or have a string of bad games? They all seem to be blaming nintendo for their lack of creativity. Look at Rare, bought out, but they hadn't had a good game in years. Silicon Knights, one good game. It was a great game, but what have they done since then? Nothing. Now Factor 5. The latest Star Wars game sure looked pretty but it was just more of the same, nothing original or creative and had some problems.
Yup, make sure everyone picks up their copy as soon as it comes out to get a version before they start removing things.

And when exactly? Does this mean June? Does it mean late September? I'll believe it when I see it on store shelves.

For this? A month ago? I'm just saying is all...

I refuse to apologize for something I may or may not have done. I plead the 5th.
Uhhh...if your 4.2 still works then why "apple better take care of this"?
You don't always have to run the latest versions of everything if the version you have is working.

Then how much does it cost for a tivo subscription? The box is one thing, then on top of the box is more fees.

By the time this is actually usable by the public you might be able to ram a good portion of it into memory.

"Noone freaked out on Microsloth when they came out with the Win95 interface - although it did borrow concepts from the Mac, Amiga, and XWindows."
Actually many did. Were you not born then? Would explain why you don't get it.
