    It's a given that none of the jobs you've taken involved being responsible for hiring programmers.

    For every candidate worth interviewing I phone screen 10 or so that look like gods on paper but can't answer simple tech questions. For every 3 I interview 2 can't pass a simple coding test (create a front end for an name and address database).

    Given that the moment you decide to file bankruptcy you can stop paying anything that would be discharged in that bankruptcy you can easily pay the $70. Heck you can do the counseling online in most cases, via phone at the extreme.

    I'm sure you can find any number of normally healthy people who had a stroke and died unexpectedly. It happens every day. Far more people visit a chiropractor receive and adjustment and get on with their lives. Ever heard "correlation is not causation"?

    For years I lived with neck and shoulder pain that doctors could do nothing about, short of surgery to fuse two vertebrae. Eventually I also developed a numbness that reached down into my arm. After I finally broke down and visited a chiropractor, at the suggestion of my doctor, I was on the road to a pain free life. Now I visit one every now and then when the pain starts returning.

    Can they cure disease? No, and a decent one will never make such claims. Are they providing a valuable needed treatment? YES.

    The fact that you mentioned a lawyer without ever mentioning any sort of PROOF is telling. You know, my dad died of a heart attack after having used a scuba tank for years, maybe I should sue the makers of scuba tanks.

    Here's a thought: Play the game every now and then, don't make it your life. Then you can be like me and say "oh cool an expansion just as I'm about to hit 70". I used to be a hard core raiding WoW player I quit for a year and only recently returned... It's MUCH more fun as a casual gamer.

    Oh please. Eclipse/mingw is such a non-optimal solution for doing Win32 development that virtually any issue with Dev Studio would be tolerable.

    At least do a little research on the topic. Microsoft has no interest in seeing it locked down. It's cable labs who have requirements that pretty much lock out things like open source use of a cable card and most 3rd paty use to boot. You must be able to certify that there's no way for a user to gain access to the decrypted stream.

    Are you intentionally being dense? You post should have been something like.

    Task: Install a cable card compatible HDTV tuner under Linux and Windows.

    Fedora:
    Put card in spare slot
    Boot and login
    Realize that there are no drivers for the cable card hardware
    Do some research (perhaps with the fine folks at mythtv.org)
    Realize there will NEVER be open source drivers for cable card hardware
    Give up
