Funny thing: Not everyone is out of a job, worried about losing their job, or hurting for money. If folks like us don't spend money the economy gets worse. Idiots like you spouting lines like that and making people feel bad or second guess themselves are making the problem worse not better.
While they're at it maybe they can bring in Tinker Bell as a consultant so the precious snowflakes that are interviewing there can learn to fly as well.
It's called work for a reason. Show me a company that's free of pressure, I'll show you a company that's not trying hard enough.
It's a given that none of the jobs you've taken involved being responsible for hiring programmers.
For every candidate worth interviewing I phone screen 10 or so that look like gods on paper but can't answer simple tech questions. For every 3 I interview 2 can't pass a simple coding test (create a front end for an name and address database).

So all of those messages I've gotten informing that an update to my XBox 360 was required to play a game left it unaffected?

I used to find all kinds of fossilized sea life as a kid. It always kid of awed me to think that Ohio was once under water.
Given that the moment you decide to file bankruptcy you can stop paying anything that would be discharged in that bankruptcy you can easily pay the $70. Heck you can do the counseling online in most cases, via phone at the extreme.
I'm sure you can find any number of normally healthy people who had a stroke and died unexpectedly. It happens every day. Far more people visit a chiropractor receive and adjustment and get on with their lives. Ever heard "correlation is not causation"?
For years I lived with neck and shoulder pain that doctors could do nothing about, short of surgery to fuse two vertebrae. Eventually I also developed a numbness that reached down into my arm. After I finally broke down and visited a chiropractor, at the suggestion of my doctor, I was on the road to a pain free life. Now I visit one every now and then when the pain starts returning.
Can they cure disease? No, and a decent one will never make such claims. Are they providing a valuable needed treatment? YES.
The fact that you mentioned a lawyer without ever mentioning any sort of PROOF is telling. You know, my dad died of a heart attack after having used a scuba tank for years, maybe I should sue the makers of scuba tanks.
Here's a thought: Play the game every now and then, don't make it your life. Then you can be like me and say "oh cool an expansion just as I'm about to hit 70". I used to be a hard core raiding WoW player I quit for a year and only recently returned... It's MUCH more fun as a casual gamer.
Except those people that run MythTV will never be able to use a CableCard and thus never be able to record anything other than Over the Air or QAM HDTV.
I've tried and failed 3 times to respond to you in a meaningful manner and I keep getting hung up on "how can you possible be that naive?" so I'll leave it at that
At least do a little research on the topic. Microsoft has no interest in seeing it locked down. It's cable labs who have requirements that pretty much lock out things like open source use of a cable card and most 3rd paty use to boot. You must be able to certify that there's no way for a user to gain access to the decrypted stream.
Are you intentionally being dense? You post should have been something like.
Task: Install a cable card compatible HDTV tuner under Linux and Windows.
Fedora: Put card in spare slot Boot and login Realize that there are no drivers for the cable card hardware Do some research (perhaps with the fine folks at mythtv.org) Realize there will NEVER be open source drivers for cable card hardware Give up
Except that I have to hold my phone in an unnatural position for me to even get a one-bar reduction in the signal.
So mechanics should never restore a classic car in their garage?

I went from WoW to WAR back to WoW for the expansion but now I'm back playing WAR and I've canceled my WoW account.

Evolution is not random. Mutation is but evolution isn't.
Don't fall into the ID trap
It's $99 not $999. If you can afford an iPhone you can afford the developer fee.
Wow I can pay triple the cost for an upscaling DVD player that also plays disks I'll not be able to find in a year? Where do I sign up?
And that's exactly why you'll never go very far in your career.
If you're worried about the penalty you could of course just not sell an M rated gamer to a minor.
Every time I see someone spouting stuff live "EVOLVE" I always wonder what they'd be saying if their way of life was on the line...

How is that better than "if any one tank is empty or fails to perform we're fucked"?

Oh please. Eclipse/mingw is such a non-optimal solution for doing Win32 development that virtually any issue with Dev Studio would be tolerable.

Simply wow.
