Just wanted to point out that at the end of season 2, the red vs blue crew got split up and teleported to a bunch of different maps. Its not just Blood Gulch anymore.
They've also stated that they're not going to use Halo 2 because of exactly what you've mentioned (that and its coming out in the middle of season 3 which should be starting up in a couple weeks)
Season 1, aside from church being a ghost, didn't have a lot of post-production effects. Season 2 had more, but I wouldn't call them extensive.
Also, some of the scenes from RvB season 2 were done on the PC version of halo, usually the ones where lots of up close texture detail of the master chief guys are important to the scene.
TFC was not a 3rd party mod. It was created by valve as a platform to test a lot of the stuff that was going to go into Team Fortress 2 (such as the netcode). Obviously TFC isn't really a testing platform anymore for TF2, but that was its original intent.
For some reason I stopped getting this when I applied SP2 on my laptop. Maybe its somthing they changed, since they did redo a bunch of their wireless connection code.
And if that happens, where is the security update infrastructure to ensure everyone gets patched?
As of 0.9, firefox has an automatic update checker thing to let the user know when new versions are availible. It seill has a few kinks to be worked out, but they're going in the right direction.
Which version of firefox? I believe there is a bug that has been fixed in the later nightly builds which causes firefox to freeze when going to that site. It has somthing to do with the security certificate, IIRC.
Thats assuming they make 100% profit. Of course they have to pay for materials and people to put that stuff together...so they're not making that much off each router.
If these things make the speed limits enforced 100%, then speed limits will go up and actually start to reflect the concept of a maximum safe speed. That might not be such a bad thing.
Heh heh heh, thats a good one. When's the last time you heard the government (any government) say they'd like to collect less money:)
Wow, it still amazes me how many people don't actually read the article. When's the last time you saw an MP3 with DRM?
Also, a lot of bands are prefectly fine with recording bootlegs and sharing them all over the place. This just lets your average joe who might not know anything about taping a show get a soundboard copy of it.
One of the reasons the 20GB one is so much more expensive is that you get a lot of accessories with it, like the dock and the remote. They don't come with the 15GB one
...To see who actually reads the article.
;)
Judging from the replies...not many people
I've never heard of other media outlets picking up an ad and running it all over the place without charging :)
There IS a map making contest. Its right there on the steam splash screen :)
Yea...that was the point of his post. Sarcasm is hard to detect on the internet.

As does the Tungsten T3. Thats not a new feature.

I believe the memory footprint he was talking about was how much ram it takes up while loaded, not how much hard disk space.
Yep. We all know how well the Mac TV [everymac.com] sold.
Ah yes, because a computer that was last sold 9 years ago is a good indicator of what the market is like today.
You do know that Netscape is just mozilla with the netscape name attached and lots of useless AOL crap tacked on, right?

The last even numbered trek wasn't all that good either. There goes the even/odd theory ;)

This is fixed in the nightly trunk builds of firefox. However, nobody thought it would be a good idea to check the fix into the branch too, aparantly.
From the link announcing the gcc change:
;)
- 3.4.1 CVS (2004/06/01)
I'm guessing its a CVS build at the moment
They only need to sell about 1000.

Most likley, the only thing that will get you is:
"I can't find any cardboard box here"

If you read the article, it says that the drive is reusable. And who knows if its propiratary or not.
Um....this thing has a retail price of about 1000 dollars, and it stores roughly 100GB of data.
Last time I checked, $1000 / 100GB = $10/GB
I'd be willing to go further than that and include 2006 and 2007 as well :)

I believe thats called the "Play Button"
