Apparently, Mac OS is missing a fantastic and simple way of producing webpages and publishing them for free on someone else's servers, a simple and powerful backup program, random free software every month from non-apple vendors, a personal off sight disk which will sync with your address book, your calendar, and your bookmarks.
apparenly, all that should be free. I don't quite agree and I think that, with what I use, the money is well spent; I have had all of my tech support questions answered promptly, problems fixed quickly regarding my mail, I have been able to publish and share things with my friends and family W/O the annoyance of keeping my computer on all hours of the day and night, and I have been able to access all of my addresses easily when I have been without access to my PDA.
So, if you are going to buy a computer, please, don't look to/. for answers. We really are fanatic about our respective OSs.
as for what it is lacking? Upgradability on the hardware end. Most of the vendors tend to overcharge for, essentially, writing firmware and drivers for their upgrades and peripherals. Kind of drives me nuts, but if you are looking for ease of use, Mac OS will do that. For utter compatibility, try XP. For customizability, Linux is your best bet. For power and (for the most part) security, Mac OS X and Linux in my experience both do well.
Paying teachers would do a GREAT deal to make the teaching establishment better. Smarter people would actually make it a goal to teach and improve our society. The "simi-literate" people would be forced out in favor of more competent people.
You have never had a "genius" teach your class without the understanding that we are paying to be given insight into the material. If the book they choose is incomprehensible and they can not communicate, what use are they as teachers. That is what they are paid for, to TEACH! Most of the PhDs I know who teach math feel it a chore to "stoop" to the level of the people they are working for. Yes, they are as pompous as you seem. Another reason for tenure to be able to be broken.
BTW, as someone who has several friends working in private secondary schools, please understand that it is mostly the fault of the crap administrators that are produced and programs like "all-children-held-behind".
well, i would just like to say that the shuffle is not for you. For people who don't care about what they are hearing as long is songs that they like and without commercials, then that is for them.
For us, the 40 was the best option. Keep in mind that there are others out there that do not have our wants and lives.

try being dyslexic. Speaking is in about 2 or 3 processes, depending on what you are speaking about (visualized thought, formed ideas- transcode into speech, organize for clarity) and then there is writing (retrieval of symbols and add on the concentration to get the meaningless symbols into the correct order).
and we can't see when we misspell things.
I guess what I am trying to say is that there could be worse things: you could be dyslexic too. your sister could be severally downs syndrome and have congestive ht failure at 25.
she is no doubt something special in some wonderful light and i wish you luck in communicating with her. My experience has been puzzling and rather awe inspiring in reference to autistics. Oddly enough, does she have a pet? When I worked with this children's clinic the autistics that had pets that were their own (usually a dog or cat) they seemed better acclimated and better communicators. some also learned sign rather well. Just things to look into (sorry if this is redundant to your situation).
Here is a cool idea: Pay % caps for lawyers that make sense in class action suits. Here is another one that would solve a lot of problems: use the ethics board and require a "3 strikes and your out" law that would disbar a lawyer that perpetrates 3 frivolous lawsuits (and they would be proven by the ethics board). This would put the fear of being middle class into these bastards. Then this would make the lawyers turn away stupid clients (trust me, my wife is a paralegal and in law school, there are LOTS in personal injury law) that are just after money.
tort reform is needed in a much more limited fashion than what Bush is wanting(/being directed to do by contributers): do not do punitive damage and lay out exactly what needs to be covered for true damages. If there is a debilitating problem, pay for all medical bills and maintain their wages that they would have had, pay for all legal crap and leave it at that.
This "pain and suffering" crap is all about getting back at someone. How about it not become the vengeance system and be the justice system again, eh?
But if you look at it this is the same; the Apple Retail stores are a chain, right? The indi stores are the little small apple stores. Essentially, the retail stores buy in bulk, or are given a quota of the produced products, which are allowing for more profit, right?
Truthfully, I have been shopping in Indi apple stores for over 10 years in N. America and in Europe and they have been, on the whole, crap. I was in one in the Beltway about 5 years ago that was ok. My experience with apple retail has been wonderful and the shoping experience and the expertise has been outstanding. Why settle for mediocre when you can get a great experience?
(by the way, in buying dolls for my little nieces, the small places were a hell of a lot better, so the tables were a tad turned.)
You do realize that america is a football nation? It is like the superbowl and these idiots, fanatics are at each other's throats about to kill eachother because their team lost/won and they are pissed about the other side in some way.
No, America needs to change its idea of what a functioning government is from one of homogenious minds (the hive) to one that is much more into thinking and consideration for other's viewpoints. But I suppose that is a tad optomistic. Americans will never be considerate as a population. Selfishness is too much of a virtue.
Well, in just the preview it was rather blistering. It is as fast, but more perty than launch bar and has only a few sticking points (when I tried to do text doc searching, within the docs) which will be fixed before it goes gold.
so, yah, my 2 120Gb hard drives with 20 Gb available on them now was being searched by spotlight with ease.
Or they could go for an IGx and get everything they can. Only thing that kills that is allergy meds.
but seriously, the IM ALLERGIC TO EVERYTHING people tend to either have Munchausen Syndrome/ just plain hypochondria or effected by M. by proxy, where they are believed to be sick all the time (because they realized that they can get attention, many don't realize that they do it for that anymore). Tho, some really are just sickly peoples.
Ascribing a mental illness was not what the post was doing. They just said that they were a bit cracked; off their rocker; playing with too few cards; one short of a six pack; an olive short of a pizza; The wheel is spinning, but the hamster's dead; Somethin' ain't stirrin' the Kool-Aid; All systems go, but going in different directions.
I would like to vouch for this. It is VERY stable. Dashboard is great and pipeline (automaton) works kindof well (I don't have much to automate). As I don't have a G5, i have no clue about the 64 bit computability, but from those I have talked to it works wonderfully, as the WHOLE of the OS works with the new architecture.
erm... Wouldn't that be PUTA?!
IT IS FUNNY! just laugh please! He was making fun of the use of the term "innocent."

Sorry for pointing this out, but that is BAJA california. A long way away from california proper. Mexico is having problems with Javier.
