    of course the problem IS that the top apps are listed by purchases, not by ratings. there are several apps in the top apps list that have bad ratings, but finding their competitor product is often difficult. apps are categorised very simply and simply thrown into a bucket.

    remember, there are no refunds on app store purchases. the cheapest of competing apps are invariably the most visible.

    it was ATI's latest driver (release, not beta). i've had three confirmed reports of BSOD from this release. and it's not just ATI, Nvidia's drivers have been seriously lacking. what the hell is going on at ATI/Nvidia? the OS was in PUBLIC beta forever, and now it's two months in release, and the drivers are still screwed.

"human" can be considered purely biological, a species classification, or as the root of philosophical definitions like humanism and humanity (adj). i think there is a problem with your question, though - there is a very big difference between computer generated and stored.

    haven't winlogin related cracks been nonfunctional for a while now? MS has disabled whole crops of crack methods and key classes through updates several times, i can't believe he received this copy so long ago that he can't recall anything about doing so and yet this is the first time a windows update has caused problems with it. it's just HIGHLY unlikely. he would have been fully aware of the bootleg status of his install by the second time he'd visited windows update.

    is there a real use for having TLDs anymore? no one follows the current rules to any reasonable extent, and it just seems more an artificial way of creating a market sphere, such as how a .com appears more legitimate than a .net for a business regardless of its position in network services. as of now, they provide no discernable organisational structure to speak of imho...

    except where success in the equation is the known variable (ie, they want it to be successful) and # of theatres (or any other factor) is the unknown. then they can simple adjust the other numbers until success is achieved.

    you're thinking of supply in terms of unit cost, but the industry thinks of supply in terms of promotions. the crux of the pricing scheme is that because a certain artist garners significant popularity, they are in the .01% of artists overall and can be priced at a premium.

    its full driver will likely require XP as microsoft releases little for any OS lower than that anymore. windows being their own product, it's their prerogative to do so.

    regardless, this has little to do with the original poster's position that microsoft won't make controllers that work with a PS2 because microsoft wants to lock people into their own standard, when it's really those other consoles which are using non-standard interfaces.
