  1. Yay! No. on Little Gamers Downloadable Comic Book · · Score: 1

Great, all we need now are for some actually funny webcomics to come out in book form.

  2. Because it makes me feel cool on What Keeps You Off of Windows? · · Score: 1

In all honesty, one of the main reasons I use Linux is because it has a nifty command prompt and all this other stuff. I was a Windows baby and all that shit is second nature to me, but Linux makes me feel like I'm exploring the depths of the unknown. Plus it's much more stable for when I'm writing papers in OpenOffice (I can't tell you how many times Word crashed on me) and all the upgrades are free, which is great too. Over time I've become addicted to some of the features of Linux (mostly WindowMaker and being able to fine-tune everything to a point) so now I can't switch although I do have a dual boot for games. Oh, and no annoying dialog boxes. I hate those damn things.

  10. No really, it's a feature! on Microsoft Tries a "Switch" Campaign · · Score: 4, Funny

AppleWorks (previously called ClarisWorks) pales in comparison to Microsoft Office XP. There's no equivalent for the versatility of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint®. Toolbars and menus customize themselves to the way I work. I wouldn't know how to function without the Track Changes and Comments features of Word. I adore the Office Clipboard, which copies multiple elements from one file and pastes them into another.

Nooo! Not the hidey menu thingy! That thing drove me insane! And here it's listed as a plus? I'm sorry, what?

All the Mac hardware--including my printer, broadband cable, Zip drive, and Palm handheld--works perfectly with my Windows-based PC.

Really? You don't say? What about your internal hard drive? And your old applications?

Well, really. From a company with a huge marketing budget, I expect something that isn't (1) a cheap copy of your competitor's and (2) can't be picked into little bits in 15.32 seconds.

  11. "Relatively" Low? on Laptop Fuel Cells Approved For Air Carriage · · Score: 0, Redundant

Yes. Of course. "Yes sir, please take a 'relatively' low concentration of one of the world's most flammable substances on board!" Sounds like a GREAT idea. It's all too easy to start a fire with these, though. Unless the concentration is REALLY low, these are not safe. And if the concentration is too low, I would imagine the effectiveness declines. Also: can you take fuel cartriges aboard? That would be helpful the traveller, but also even more dangerous.
