To be honest, I'm not sure those tests would work...
The hardest scale on the Rockwell test (I'll let someone else give a link somewhere) uses a diamond to make an indent. This works for pretty much everything since diamond is the hardest material.
Until now, at least. Since diamond isn't harder than this, it wouldn't make an indent. No indent, no Rockwell reading.
Use an ergometer, or an "erg," as the rowing community likes to call them. I'm an above-average rower, and I could sustain almost 700W for about a minute or so. There are people out there who do much better than me, as well.
An erg allows you to use your back and arm muscles as well as your legs. Three sources of power is certainly better than just one.
I don't believe it would be too hard to hook up several ergs to spin one rotor. I'm pretty sure this would be the best way to go about doing this project.
it's not exactly a tail-less aircraft as some have said
http://www.boeing.com/news/releases/2002/photore le ase/q4/high_res/dvd-226-5.jpg
as you can clearly see in that picture (very high res, modem users beware!), the tail is beneath the plane, instead of the traditional spot, on top of the plane
who's making these DVD's anyway? if the people who are making the dvd's saying it's gonna run them out of business, why don't they just stop making them?
oh, gimme a break. if you were in charge of this company, would you rather keep the money as profit to buy your new porsche, or would you spend it on anti-cheating coding that will just be broken anyway?
What're you trying to say here??

It's not difficult to realize why some athletes do drugs to increase performance.
Athletes have a certain desire to succeed, whether it be on a field, a court, a river, or a skating rink. Just as YOU probably want to succeed with your work, athletes want to succeed with what THEY do. When, say, running as fast as you can is your life, your job, and your passion, it's easy to see how one would be tempted to increase their performance any way they can.
The risk of having heart trouble (especially with the normal human perception that "that'll never happen to ME!") is no match for a guaranteed half second off your 100 meter time.
Speaking as someone on the inside, I DO know why Hemos is pre-occupied... His wife just gave birth to their first child, a beautiful young daughter. Congrats, Hemos:):)
What the hell are you smoking? People have serious, serious problems with gambling. You ever been to Vegas? It's addictive. You see someone win big, you think "I can do that too." And trust me, that feeling has nothing to do with statistics. Keep the casino's in Vegas, thanks, where if you're gonna gamble your money, you're making a conscious effort to get rid of it all, instead of making it a habit at work, or something to do when you're bored.
This whole system is extremely impersonal. If you want to know what your kids eat, try talking to them, giving them a little love. Want to know if your kids are skipping? Ask their teachers. The whole database thing with your secretly knowing everything that happens to your kids is extremely scary to me, an 18 year old high school student. I would treat my parents COMPLETELY different if they stopped asking me how my day was, etc in place of looking on the internet to see what I'm eating and what classes I'm skipping. The whole system seems way too impersonal, and I believe it would lead to worse relationships between kids and their parents.

I got my ipod as a gift - I have no idea what generation it is.
Is there an easy way to tell?
The SR-71 didn't need missile defense because it could outfly any missile headed its way.
I assume there are faster missiles out there, but THAT fast? I don't think anything could catch this.

Nice to see that an American icon, Wal-Mart, is contributing to people, well, working hard.

Anyone have the link to the car on ebay?
I think the point of this is that people will know WHERE you're wearing your boots, pants, sunglassses, and shirt.
I, for one, don't care for being tracked everywhere I travel.
In other news, suicide rates have quintupled after people realized what hell they're going to be going through in 40 years...

either that, or they're just flat-out lying.
yeah uhh lexus is made by toyota, just like acura is made by honda. opening up the hood on any lexus will give you proof, if you need it
