Stuff like this really pisses me off. First of all, TV wastes tons of spectrum as it is, but when you license someone spectrum for a TV station it should not be used for purpouses such as this. The people doing this have no doubt already looked it over legally and therefore there probaly will not be any action against them. Unbelievable.
You would not get in trouble. It's called free speech. If someone's product is shoddy and insecure it it your right to tell everyone about it. There are plenty of books at the library that describe how to pick locks and if you've ever read "The Hacker Crackdown" by Bruce Sterling you know that there are books that describe how to get calling card numbers, namely, "The Hacker Crackdown". You say "These actions wouldn't fly in the real world without legal repercussions." yet you give no examples. Please, give an example. Please at least cite a law which forbids any of the actions you described becuase you talk as if there is such a law for the real world where one for the cyber world is lacking. I would argue that there is a law for neither and that you are talking out of your ass.
No shit older gaemboys weren't backlit. It didn't matter. They were black and white and used traditional LCDs rather than reflective. With reflect you can't see shit at all unless you have an excellent light source. Compare that to a LCD watch and you will get the point.
"I'm sure you're all using KaZaa" Whats your point? I also use internet explorer to get movies and songs. Does this mean microsoft should be sued? FUCK NO. So please give your point, this is a network where people can send files back and forth, nothing more than that. The only people criminally using the system are the users, not the creators.
I'll ask them if I can pay them for the candy instead of having them call the cops. Don't think its gonna happen. I still agree with you though, using roms is not bad, but your analogy is.
HOW THE FUCK DID THE PATENT OFFICE ACCEPT THAT? I don't think there is a possible way in hell that the patent office even takes a peek as this stuff. Unix has had this FOREVER. In fact, windows has this in a way (shortcuts) circa 94/95.
What happens when they figure out how to cheaply turn an element into gold? I guess it would be some strange isotope of gold that would then decay into a new isotope of the original element?
Its fine to steal your money for corporate welfare. Your business model isn't working? Thats ok we'll just keep you alive so you can further mismanage the nations resources.
The other day I was watching TV and they had all kinds of shit! The NBA, GPA, NFL, MLB, shit I can't even remember all teh other crazy ass names. The whole world must be run by these pasty little nerd boys!! Forget my pants, who ate my sarcasm sign?
I own one of these little puppies and I am happy to say it rocks. Tons of kde apps are already ported to Qt embedded, you can hack this thing to run X, and most importantly it is as good as any palm/pocket pc and keeping you orgranized.
my point, which you gladly partially made for me, is that gator is installed on millions of PCs. The thing about gator is it is automatically updated. I say that if google ever puts in a user rating system a company with a large installed base of people will likely take advantage.
you could read the motherfucking article? The answer to your question is on the first page.
I think we all know the answer though. A massive bribe by the RIAA's lobbyists should answer any of the congressman's dilemas.

I personally think you should be modded down as this is an article about the patenting of greeting cards. What the fuck are you talking about?

as I emulate nes on a 486 all the fucking time.

What he obviously meant to say was:
Isn't that the one, where in the last stage you finally write a 5 line script and forget your problems?

try "man shutdown", then "shutdown -r now" for reboots
And what does an engine have to do with bright textures? I think you are confusing engine with artist.
Would have to be the first post to alt.sex
Seeing as once its paused, its no longer live.

Though at least unlike nascar real people aren't dieing. Nascar made more money on Dale Earnhart's death than they did his entire life.

IGN has been using them for a while now. TechTV too.
You mean VNC? I hope so.
No I don't really want a version for linux. And wtf.. they are still getting off by giving software to schools. How does this end their monopoly?
you scared the shit outta me with that headline. and now I'm more scared - neverwinternights is in jeopardy!
