I know the knee-jerk reaction that some people will have when i mention this. And just maybe that is the area that we need to spend money on. We need to make people aware that a huge change is upon them and that there is no choice but to eliminate many long-held beliefs in order to have a smoother transition into the new era. Imagine the chaos that went on when we went from the horse to the car. That was nothing compared to what Ai has in store for us.
Go to Home depot and buy enough foam board to coat the interior of rooms that you need to be quiet. You'll need to cover windows, walls, floors and ceilings as well as doors. The problem is so huge that California dare not do much about it. In Miami, Fl. numerous people drive without a license or insurance. A few of them do a bit of jail time, but they seem willing to spend a few days in jail rather than buy insurance and pay for tickets.
So now that we know we have a legal system that clearly can not handle the current load just what will happen if we start using intense spying, seeking not only for lawbreakers but also for people that we fear might do something in the future.

I was blind as to how common hit and run accidents are. If we took the three counties from Palm Beach to Miami, Fl. on the east coast of Florida we have more than 20,000 hit and run cases every year. Imagine loading our prisons if we could catch all 20,000 every year. Maybe we really do the types of camera surveillance that we see in use in London.
In the US, we still have clowns who think pollution is not important. Industry acts as if it as a right to pollute. Coal burning needs to be banned 100%. Jobs mean absolutely nothing if your lungs are gone or cancer is dragging you into the dirt.
Worse yet there are notions similar to what occurs in Paris. There is the air is still and the pollution remains local Paris takes measures to shut down automobiles etc.. But if the wind is blowing and that pollution is spread over a much wider area officials find it acceptable. Pollution is not acceptable no matter how far you spread it about.
Why not simply take these attacks for what they are. Yes, they are tragic and people suffer and die. However,they are a minor hazard. Such attacks are not the end of the world nor will they bring down our nation. We do not want a police state here. Frankly the terrorists have very little ability as the incidents could have been far worse if they had an adequate knowledge of how things work in America. Shooting 28 people who work with handicapped children will get the digestive juices flowing in our public. If they had shot 28 used car salesmen less hate would be directed towards these lunatics.

Otherwise, why call an ambulance when someone has an emergency? Saving the life of an elder is the same morally as saving the life of an infant. So you have a bunch of 80-year-old people who are partially functional and you reverse their aging process but 1% die from the treatment. Why would that be an issue at all? Frankly we know that every now and then people perish from having a tooth pulled. That does not mean we should have everyone walking about with a toothache.
I think the problem is that people expect machine intelligence to look like human intelligence. Machine intelligence exists and is strong in some areas. Modern chess programs are an example. They can play unique games and be stronger than any human player. Yes, they are given the rules of chess and machines did not invent chess. But they have passed beyond human abilities and it is at the point where some programs are coded to only make move patterns that humans would tend to make. Learning how to adapt machine intelligence to our real world problems is challenging. But we are in for a fright when computers get really good at analyzing human problems and applying better solutions that we now have at hand.
There is so much nonsense in city and county governments that I think anyone taking reform seriously is at risk of being assassinated. Somehow America can not afford America. Either would keep you out of work for a decade. As employers need more employees, in good times, one might get hired now with a mark on their record.
