I agree with you, but I don't think consoles will "die on the vine" by embracing mediocrity. There are too many stupid people out there who will embrace lousy games, just like they do lousy movies. They get brain washed by a flash commercial, and then they half to have.
To retort you're comment, I won't comment here (on slashdot). I will fulfill your wishes and chose the "Personal Visit" option.... Please wait right there I'm booking my flight right now.
Mod this up, he's actually correct. It's sad (well, perhaps not *that* strong of a word) that flame wars and other offtopic discussions get out of control on Slashdot.
"A good proof for the christian anti-darwinists that it is not always the fittest that survive..."
Actually you misunderstand the meaningof that term. The word fittest is termed as something that is "the best at surviving.", not necessarily the best at something like strength, eating, building, etc. So in the real world those species that are best at learning, or adapting to their environment (read as: able to survive in their environment), are those that evolve and thus "survive".
So the fittest always do servive, because they are the best at surviving.
Because he puts out dupe posts now and then makes him a bad boss? That doesn't make a lot of sense. How does that effect his employees in a direct way other then perhaps set a bad example. Shoot, if that was my bosses big problem, I'd have it made in the shade. My point: it's not really a big deal, get over it.
foobar's is good if you're running on a slow computer. Other then that I don't get the point. Any computer I've worked with Winamp on, say 450mhz and up, has had no problem handling playing music while I was working (Except for perhaps, while copying large files around). That and UI is UGLY, and not simple enough to configure for us folks who just want to listen to music while they work. Why should I have to configure my UI so much, I just want to load playlists, adjust the volume, and hit the play button every once in a while.
ETC (Electroshock therapy) does not work because patients "forget what they were depressed about" Mainly because clinical depression is caused by an electromagnetic or chemical imbalance in the brain. Not because there is "something" that the patient is depressed about. Any amnesia effects caused by ETC happen with short term memory or within days/weeks/months of the treatment. Not a patients past (distant or not-too-distant).
But as Kierthos has pointed out, they can't touch (I don't think) people outside the USA. So I don't think there ever will be a point where there are no sharers.
Here's why:

And not only that, the link doesn't work! I keep getting a "nerds is not a registered protocal" error!!!

Exactly, that's the guys point. If you take away the sharers, there IS no one to leech from. The whole system breaks down, and the RIAA have won :(
why don't you just sit in front of the computer with a couple of these
I'd like to know what happened to this Iraqi's web blog. It was an interesting read at the beginning of the war.
Ahhh, that makes sense.
Wait a second.... I'm confused. Didn't they just release 5.0 a few months ago?
