Another problem I've noticed is that some people post webpages that contain nothing more than a few keywords that somehow get highly ranked in Google searches. These low value webpages must be making money because I've seen more than a few of them. I'll check someday to see if Adsense has a place to report abuse like that.
I hope you and all your co-workers use dust-masks when using compressed ait to clean the keyboards -- I hate when people here do that without warning since I hate breathing in years worth of people.
I check for spit filled hamburger every time. I'm always prepared to jump the counter and dip the culprit's head in the fryer, but haven't had to do that yet.
When learning to fly a Cessna 150, my instructor always made me not trust the fuel gage since what it reports can safely be confirmed another way -- I'd have to look in the tanks and dip a stick in the fuel to be sure there was enough. When flying, it's a different story as you must trust your instruments.
The problem with public transportation is that the vehicles are now quiet enough that all passengers would know when an old person is getting their money's worth out of their Depends. Old people are generally rich enough to replace the seats of their Caddy if needed. (Having their car "take one for the team" would be part of the annual budget) -- I'm not that much better now though -- I'd hate to see what I'm like in 40 years
I bought a little camcorder from HSN about 8 months ago for $140 that records to SD. It did voice recording / MP3 playback / still / MP4 video recording. -- it's a little larger than a stack of 40 credit cards.
the service at pobox.com can be used to redirect an email address to a new service provider
webhosting.yahoo.com gets you webspace and multiple very large POP3 email accounts for much less than $59 -- it's nice to clean the spam on the yahoo internet mail interface and then occasionally download via POP3 to Outlook
My favorite story to recall is when in the late 80's or so, the Russian government called the US authorities and told them a plane crashed in a Wisconsin lake and that those people probably needed help. Not bad if they really did find out from satellites.
Now Adaware and Spybot can finally get paid if states would let Adaware and Spybot represent affected computer users. Something like 20% to Adaware or Spybot and 80% of the 1000$ to the affected user or the user's charity of choice may be good enough incentive to "make it stop".
These BRS systems may be useful when the pilot gets a heart attack and dies leaving the passengers in IFR weather.
The one time I worked from home a few months ago, I saw this.
I heard a plane doing flips which I didn't think much of at first as I grew up near Oshkosh, but then I realized that this was in downtown Atlanta in very bad weather. I tried to find the plane and shortly found it spiraling out of the clouds. It was a 6 seat twin engine airplane with two people on board (from later news reports). After about 5 seconds, I saw the fire-ball explosion.
The BRS system or even better planning by the pilot (before it happened, the WX weather map showed a fast moving small strong cloud over this area which they should have noticed as they took off from an airport less than 20 miles away).
I believe that some people have been forced to "donate" to the NFL by purchasing stadiums that are sometimes funded in part by local taxes. Since these are state funded buildings, I think that there shouldn't be exclusive licences on them.
There may be a time in the not to distant future when 5TB HDs will be available from Best Buy for $100. In that case, it would be cheap to have the DVD database backed up a few times. (I would backup DVDs in this direction (DVD to HD) since there is no proof of how long DVDs last and certain movies are known for being poorly manufactured and lasting only a couple of years) -- cable TV charges are also getting very expensive which can make personal movie libraries seem cost effective.
Add a field to a DVD Profiler database which would allow in home guests to search your DB, find the movie, then just click "play" instead of trying to find it on a shelf somewhere. (300-500 DVD boxes does add up to a lot of wall space)

I would think the same thing if there was proof that SCO didn't make the temporary change themselves. Right now I don't know either way.
By that logic, the US will invade Venezuela sometime soon... (obviously won't happen) That oil argument has been brought up so many times in the hopes that people will get tired of answering against it. I'll volunteer this time.

Kind of like paying the sandwich line person who accepts money with wearing disposable gloves who then makes another sandwich with those.

And when will the good American people who were solid with Bush bring freedom to Sudan and Zimbabwe?
Maybe some good non-American people will step up and solve these issues? Maybe the UN? I wish someone would.
Is that what they call Poland now?

I see that I missed the $59 per year part -- so my cost comparisons are invalid :(

I'm not in as risky a place as Iraq, but I still tell a couple family members that my passwords are in an envelope in the "top drawer".
Yahoo doesn't read obituaries, so the accounts should stay active long enough to prevent this issue.
I hope someone threw it right back!

If the parents there would teach their children to stop blowing up new infrastructure, they would have a chance at resuming a normal life.

I agree; it's not worth the money;
Not yet, but...

Just add a catch() statement and you'll be fine.

Someone please tell "them" to do a reprint of these old books and magazines (like Analog (Atari))!

The computer in my 1992 car is warped and sort of broken but I have used the car for years despite that issue.
The various red blinking lights makes passengers a little nervous, but we always get to the destination.
I agree that I'd hate to rely on a computer to do all of the driving!
