What? You have got to be joking. There's so many examples of Presidents improving our country immeasurably during their terms. And they don't even need the full 8 to do it. The greatest of them all only needed six years...but you wouldn't know that, because apparently history is a foreign concept to you.

No, it simply is not. 1) Colors can easily constitute a major portion of a trademark (IANAL). 2) Companies are obligated to protect their trademarks as closely as is reasonable, lest they lose it to the public domain (if that term is proper for non-copyright-related IP). Given that the two entities share a similar field, and that it is the same word ("mobile") that is colorized, it would be irresponsible of T-mobile to not consider this as a potential threat to their trademark

In other words, "don't hate the player, hate the game." Sorry, but your defense is the same one Radio Shack used when they threatened to sue every website that uses the word "Shack." The same defense that FedEx used to sue a coffee kiosk called "Federal Espresso." None of these are legitimate trademark dilution concerns. They're just big company lawyers stirring up trouble. Control freaks. Engadget is right to defy them.

But say a game can't run well on the PS2 (or PS3 or whatever), what then?

You blame the developer, and don't patronize them anymore.

At least on a PC, you can adjust settings for any balance of performance/quality that you want.

The overwhelming majority of gamers prefer to actually play games rather than tweak settings. That's why consoles are far more popular.

You can also upgrade whatever component you want to make that game run at its best. You can't do that with a console.

Again, most the majority of gamers would prefer to play the game. They don't want lazy developers delegating the performance duties to the gamer. They don't want hidden costs in the form of new hardware and the hours spent configuring it. The "performance enthusiasts" that live to overclock will never be a significant market.

Because of the inherent complexity of PC gaming, it will never reach the level of popularity of console gaming. That's not good or bad in itself, just a fact.

Sounds like someone's a little thin-skinned. It's entertaining, if not shocking, how many so-called "scientific" minded people take such a religious approach to defending their positions.

Well, the advancement of science is largely responsible for our unprecedented quality of life, including technological conveniences and modern medicine. When disingenuous politicians attempt to manipulate well-meaning religious people into undermining respect for science, people who appreciate science must speak up or watch their civilization go the way of Rome.
