> Just look at people with autism. Usually they have larger skulls and brains
I think you are mistaking autism with FREAKING MUTANTS. Easy mistake, one looks completely normal but cannot distinguish social cues and has various sensory difficulties while the other is a misshaped deformed creature of evil.
If it's so easy and so inexpensive (and I agree it is) why doesn't someone reading this START MAKING AND SELLING thin client systems with $150 clients and matching LTSP and Windows server servers? It sounds like a great business opportunity to me.
I hate every ape I see, From chimpan-A to chimpan-Z. No you'll never make a monkey out of me! Oh my god, I was wrong. It was Earth all along. You finally made a monkey Yes, we finally made a monkey Yes, you finally made a monkey out of me
If I am planning on running for an elected office, or just on getting along with my neighbors I might not want the world to know I frequent atheist and rational humanism websites. This is not a joke. People get harassed for not believing the "right" thing.
Yes, everyone produces the same amount of carbon TODAY. But with an economic incentive to produce less carbon it will be cost effective to install greener technology and produce less TOMORROW.
I am a computer forensic investigator. While I think scrolling a spreadsheet that was gathered with a warrant a little to the right should probably be allowed, certainly that line must be drawn somewhere. If I was allowed to dig through every file on ANYONE's computer I'll bet I can find enough of SOMETHING to cause them major headaches. Are you sure all those porn sites you visited didn't have a single image of child porn somewhere in those thumbnails, even down off-screen where you never saw it? Are you sure those tax returns you have on your computer match up with your actual deposit records? Are you sure you never said anything that could be considered dangerous or threatening about an elected official or member of law enforcement ever? Are you certain you have the purchase records for every MP3 song and movie on your computer?
When I'm asked to look at some financial records, that's ALL I can look at. Nothing else. When I'm looking at emails, that's it, nothing else. And that's the way it should be.
Let's face it, these days we're all criminals. It helps keep us in line.
Just FYI for those who don't have the time or inclination to decipher 'Anonymous' and '/b/'s sarcastic parody insider language: Anonymous is not a "group" in the traditional sense. Nobody "joins" Anonymous. Everybody who feels like doing a prank is a member of Anonymous for the moment they are doing the prank and they are not as soon as the prank is done. Anonymous has no consensus or agreement on their goals or motives. Nobody can request action on behalf of Anonymous ("Anonymous is not your personal army").
More than anything else "Anonymous" is a term or meme that describes the mob effect that occurs in response to shared outrage or shared giggles. In this way it is not entirely unlike Slashdot. It is ridiculous when someone says 'Slashdot believes this' or 'Slashdot agrees with that'.
It is grossly unfair for Guzner to get the blame for over 9,000 phone calls and the rest as a "member of Anonymous". Nobody is a member of Anonymous, and everyone is a member of Anonymous.
If the goal is to win "points" as tough guys, home-made militia can get a song written about them. If the goal is to overthrow a fascist ruling class this fails.
Yeah, 'cause you Yanks can sure show 'em a thing or two with your handguns against squads of armored SWAT teams with grenades and automatic weapons, helicopter support, and the latest in anti-riot gear. Worked well at WACO. Good luck with that.
Because Microsoft didn't invent the Internet. As a matter of fact they were very late to the game. MOSAIC was first, then Mozilla/Netscape. Microsoft realized very late that the Internet was going to be important and threw something together. The standards had already been well under way by the time Microsoft got into the game.
A tale can be "just" true, which means the facts are accurate. Or it can be "more than true" which means they provide more value than just being accurate, in terms of insight into life and human nature. Chesterton is saying tales have more value than if they were merely "true" or accurate factually. And he is saying it in a clever way that will get him quoted while throwing off those wily autistics.

> "good" aliens must look human for us to identify with them
Identify with them? Hell, I want to have sex with them.
Cameron was very careful to keep the sex-appeal in his aliens.
> The move is part of the five-year search and advertising deal Verizon signed with Microsoft in January for a rumored $500m."
The move is a part of my two-year deal to not buy a Verizon plan.
"Pot is deadly, and cell phones cause brain cancer."
And we wonder why kids don't listen to anything we say.
"Cocaine is deadly, and cigarettes cause lung cancer."
Every problem is an opportunity.

I see what you did there...
10 Hz?! I must be doing it wrong. Are you sure you aren't programming an epileptic fit detector?
2+ minute span? Now I *know* I'm doing it wrong...
I hear Lex Luther is hiring.
I always maximize my pizza by cutting it into 11 pieces. That way I get much more pizza than most people. I get 11 slices.
I hate every ape I see,
From chimpan-A to chimpan-Z.
No you'll never make a monkey out of me!
Oh my god, I was wrong.
It was Earth all along.
You finally made a monkey
Yes, we finally made a monkey
Yes, you finally made a monkey out of me
Well, I'd better get to work on my Whuffie.
What I do in the privacy of my home is private.
If I am planning on running for an elected office, or just on getting along with my neighbors I might not want the world to know I frequent atheist and rational humanism websites. This is not a joke. People get harassed for not believing the "right" thing.
Rather than arrest people based on this law, they should just build a wall around 4chan and declare it a prison. More efficient that way.
Yes, everyone produces the same amount of carbon TODAY. But with an economic incentive to produce less carbon it will be cost effective to install greener technology and produce less TOMORROW.
Hey, don't complain. It's better than nothing.
I, for one, welcome my reproductive-mate assigning overlord.
Please hurry.
I'll be right here waiting...
In my basement.
No offense, but that's some pretty crappy writing. Amateur at best. I haven't read anything so juvenile and full of cliche since "Battlefield Earth".
> Okay. Color me stupid, but aren't there existing hardon colliders that function just fine, like the one in Brookhaven?
Hardon colliders are all on 4chan.
> OMG, people from the future have vaporized the Large Hadron Collider?!
Those bastards!

Like I said.

ah, sweet daydreams...
