Which is why there is continued mumbling about a 'line item veto' which would allow the President to veto riders on a bill which don't really belong and which wouldn't pass congress on their own. The main reason it never happens is because the Congress wants to keep the ability for 'pork' on bills (why don't they just call it spam?) so that they can get funding or whatever for their particular neck of the woods that the rest of the nation really doesn't care about.
I truly don't think that she has considered the chilling effect to privacy that this would have or the economic consqeuences to ISPs or the burden it would place on them.
One Use I could see for this (maybe) is with an rss feed or newsgroup reader. You could have each topic in the rss feed open in a seperate tab. For a newsgroup, you could get each thread in a seperate tab.
But for regular email? I don't open multiple email windows in thunderbird and never really had a desire to. So why would I need tabs?
I have always encourage my friends and family to move away from hotmail and msn.com email. There were other reasons before this (like getting spam the moment you register an address), but this is just another one.

From the article it looks like the building codes prohibit it. Maybe they should look at getting sheet metal siding - as long as its installed correctly and doesn't violate any of the neighborhood covenants they'd probably be ok.
What I've always wondered about these math surveys is if they are comparing our High School students with the same types of kids in other countries. I know that in Germany for instance, not every kid goes to "high school" which is the track for going to the university. Many kids go to other schools where they focus on learning a trade. Are these surveys comparing all American kids to all European kids - or just those likely to go to University? Has anybody ever done a study on first year university student in various countries and how their math skills compare?
How many of the "kill the unbeliever" fazes where motivated by religion, and how many by politics, with religion used to deliver inflamatory rhetoric from the pulpit?
Are you going to answer this question? You are making some pretty strong assertions here, but I don't see the basis for them.
Yep - pretty much all you can do is buy like a batch of 100 and benchmark them your self. They choose the 2-4 fastest ones depending on how many sticks you need. The rest? Well you might be able to return them under warranty.
Thanks for posting about that group. Looks very interesting.
Isn't this topology patented? Are we all going to have to pay royalties to Al Gore to use our brains?
If this was subsidized for the average household, it would be a bane for california.
Fixed your spelling for you.
People would be better of with less taxes so that they could buy these things rather than giving the money to the gov't to get it back as subsidies.

And hey, if we really wanted to get rid of Castro we would have lifted the embargo a LONG time ago and let American "culture" do them in.

My ideal home would be one that was paid off.

The Prius is the same size as a Corolla - not as big as the Camry.
That is funniest Bush comment I've seen on slashdot.
Nah - we just already invaded and you didn't notice.
Cheerleaders will LOVE this stuff!
I know people who have been double clicking on hyperlinks for YEARS...
Wait, you don't have to double click?
and what's more complicated than fluid dynamics?
Chasing a 2 year old through a libary?

Looks like my son's (2 years old) police car that he sits in an pushs around with his feet.

Ok, this is going off topic - but which wars have been won solely based on air power?

Does it only work if you park between two white cars?
I hope I am not the only person who misread "carrier routing system" as "carrier PIGEON routing system". Talk about flashbacks to old slashdot posts.
