    Did you just miss the point completly?? That's exactly what the parent poster said. Loki did just ports, mostly of OpenGL games and they still couldn't stay in buisness. The bottom line is that there is no money in it since Linux users won't pay for software. Sad but true.

    How exactly is that Microsoft's fault??? If you want to run a 5 year old OS, be prepared to spend time downloading patches. (the modem use is a whole other issue). Downloading patches would be the same for any 5 year old OS, windows or linux. Find soneome else to blame.

    Where is the proof? This dribble has been spouted on /. way to many times. As a web developer I can tell you that writing to the spec, IE ALWAYS works the way it's supposed to. Netscape/Mozilla are the ones that don't.

    I hope you're not saying that the W3C is a standard. IT IS NOT!!! It's a recomendation, and a fairly stupid one at that. Show me one good looking site (that's not a couple of solid blocks of color with text) that meets the W3C recomendation. They don't exist. The recomendation is so lowest common denomanator that it's pathetic.
