No no, my *very* partial legends set would only be worth about $100 (and that's just because of a mana drain and some elder dragon legends - those "gold" cards that you mentioned).
With WOTC's reprint policy, there really is no value in keeping older sets/cards. They devalue as soon as they're sent out of Type II...and when's the last time you've played an Type I tournament?
(This coming from a guy who has a full set of 4th, alliances, dark, and a partial legends set...which *might* bring a hundred bucks or so)

No, I still pay them...I just wait until they send a text msg with "Your bill is now due". They usually forget to send the message also, so sometimes it will be two or three months before I pay up...Checked my credit rating and they aren't reporting as delequent, so I'm more than happy to keep my money earning interest for those two months.
Seems like the contracts get worse each and each year. I've been with my provider (Cellular South) for about 5 years, and am still under a contract that gives: 100 "anytime" min a month free incoming calls unlimited nights and weekends (at 7pm - not 9pm) for 29.95
Now, don't get me wrong, Celluar South's billing is the worst i've ever seen, I haven't even received a bill in the last 3 years (DON'T sign up for their online billing--it doesn't really exist and then they can't get you back to paper-bill land), but as long as I can remember to use their convoluted automated credit card payment, it's really not a problem.
>Yes, it was worse than the other ones out >during the time
No way! The worst controller ever had to be for the 5200---it never really did work for longer than a week or so. I bet I used an entire roll of aluminum foil to fix mine up. And what genius decides to make a non-self-entering control stick?
However, my vote for the worst feeling controller was the 7800...If you grip the bottom of the controller to hit both buttons, eventually your hand *will* cramp from stretching the muscle between your thumb and index finger!
You can't do that...it would be a direct tax on the lowest income families...
For example, most lower income familys around here in Mississippi shop at a store called Sav-A-Lot. This store has better prices on canned goods than wal-mart (they actually take a loss on each can of corn, beans, etc sold), but most of they're other food they sell is EXTREMELY high in saturated fat and calories.
Of course, it's cheap too, and most poor people don't give a damn what they're eating as long as they can get full.
Putting a tax on such items would directly effect the poor...
If you've got the free time, say 12-24 weeks or so... Go buy an IBM Education card (around $3-$5k depending on which one you buy). Head toward an IBM education center / Training center. (The one in Atlanta is very good).
And learn all you want for one low price. It's how I managed to learn AIX. Took me about 6 weeks to become very intimate with aix administration.

Been tried before. 3do made an add on card that would allow you to play 3do games on your pc. Of course this flopped, as the 3do was a big overpriced piece of crap.
(however if dvd had been available at the time a 3do/dvd player might have had a chance).
and don't forget the sequel (Life and Death 2: The Brain), which was even harder, as brain surgery takes a bit more than abdominal sugery.
That game was pretty brutal though, as you could cut the gas off right in the middle of surgery...
Just on "Tapping" the card (i.e. turning the card sideways). I think other methods of using the cards (counters, coins, etc) are still correct.

But why do you keep them?

Oh yeah, sure, keep supporting the MPAA. And when linux won't run on DRM-mandated machines, don't come running to me!
Silent Hill ?
Phantasmagoria (roberta williams - sierra title) had a rape scene in it.

I find it amusing that people only find conflicts that we lost as "inapproprate subject matter"

Nah, You didn't know Christopher Walken posts to slashdot?

Have you tried 7zip yet? Freeware and handles long file names in dos + has a nice gui version that will handle rar, zip, and lots others.

So what if they do? They have to be able to recoup the costs of R&D somehow. There isn't any magic "Cure money" that just appears.
