The original was fantastic. The ringworld idea was executed very well, and everything tied together to make a really fun game, great multiplay and good coop.
When they tried to engineer fun is one of the many mistakes. Halo 2 had alot of problems too.

I always like seeing two giants in the industry debate on high level topics. It gives some insight into trends... and I just plain dig gaming anyway...
Wow, I would really like to see Carmack work in the cgi industry with some of these guys. Everything he works on is generally next level, even if the concept flops.

As far as I'm concerned someone should be free to do whatever they want, with the game they buy, and the account they pay for. People aren't exploiting people, they are automating their characters.
